Nice ride! I don't know if I could of modded a split though. Restored to original value has to be big. That engine is impressive, I like it almost as much as a 427 with 3 X 2's.

I have been looking at the C2's. A road trip in one would be awesome. Here is one that would work. Who wants to give me $45k that they don't want back?

That looks real nice, Tyler.
If it's all what the ad said, it would be a good one to keep close to stock. The one thing is that it's a soild lifter motor so, that's extra maintainence (and needs extra inspection).

C2 are a good buy right now but when you're spending that kinda coin, you really need to know what you're getting even to the point of paying a C2 guy to inspect the car before you buy it.

Isn't that your garage Bill? It looks like it all nice and neat. I'm thinking that is your new C2 frame and engine.

Har, I wish. There's a lota bucks sitting there.

And if it was mine, I'd have to get another C2 because i wouldn't rip up a matching numbers car.

Note: Matching numbers is more that most guys think, not just the serial number on the block & trans.

Agreed... don't do this to a matching numbers car unless there is a real GOOD reason - like everything is rusted or busted. Otherwise, restore.

Matching numbers means: VIN --> Engine --> Trans --> Diff --> Frame --> Drivers Door.

Plus alternator, distributor and cap, regulator, thermostat housing, radiator expansion tank with correct build date, etc.

Yea, well, you are now getting into NCRS religion. Realistically, most apply the measure I have stated above. The parts you are referring to are consumables. Even t-stat housings, they have a tendency to break at the bolt holes!

I consider them rebuildables.
Yea, NCRS but "matching numbers" is thrown around too much. Some one calling a car matching with fender flairs, different interior, etc is not correct,IMO.

If my car didn't have the correct accessories, I maybe would go away from stock.

I'm not doing total NCRS anyway mostly because of the paint (frame & body).

T-stat housing's break because of the high percentage of wrench twisters out there that always think tighter is better.
This one is 43 years old.
