Good Morning CGs!

Hopefully a nice lazy Sunday for everyone.

Cold here again (I don't want to hear it, Brad!). I'm itching for a nice day to warm up so I can run or bike. I stopped by the bike shop last night and picked up some chain lube and cable anti-corrosive.

I was reading an article this morning and came across a word I've never seen in my life. So since Tamiza is slacking lately that is today's word of the day:

vit·ri·ol·ic
adj.
1. Of, similar to, or derived from a vitriol.
2. Bitterly scathing; caustic: vitriolic criticism.

Hope everyone has a great day!

Matthew

Good Morning! Sunshine, cold and windy here today.
I need to do some organizing and straightening up around the house, specifically my office which looks like a rats nest, and the garage looks pretty bad too. Believe it or not I still haven't taken down the Christmas tree. I have been so busy this week and bushed when I get home from work it just stands there. I might leave it up until next Christmas! Ho Ho Ho! Nah, I guess today is the only window of opportunity to get it taken down or it will be up until next Christmas.

Take care guys -- chat again soon

Good morning guys.....cold out this morning, but no moisture, yet. Still supposed to be headed this way. I don't have much going on today. I might go out to the shop and start on the new bathroom vanity for our master bedroom. Once I get that done we will start in earnest about picking out some floor tiles.

I just boxed up 175 tiles to take back to Lowes cause I decided I didn't like them.

Picking out the tiles is way more of a pain than installing them.

I understand not taking stuff down but I can't figure out why my neighbors still have their Christmas lights shining.

I had the C4 out twice yesterday, wasn't quite warm enough to run with the windows down though.

Snow and cold here, we are in the guts of winter now. Went in to the Star City last night for supper and a movie. We ate at Red Robin which is a glorified burger joint. They do have wraps though and that is what my wife likes. I had a french dip sandwich with unending steak fries. It was good.

Then we went to see True Grit. I liked it, it is gritty in that it portrais the people as not pretty and very rough but still they seem to have a code of decency or respect when it came to certain things. There is no sexual material at all which you might think would be possible with a young girl around a lot of bad men. The actress who plays Mattie is very good in her role and Jeff Bridges plays a good mean old drunk one eyed fat man. The gun play was very realistic and they did follow the story line close to the first movie with the Duke. The ending was different than the original but may follow the book. I think I will read the book and find out. I would see it agian but will wait till it comes out on CD's. That is this weeks Guru movie review. I rate it a solid 4 out of 5 stars.

Have a nice warm comfortable day off guys.

Howdy! I slept in, practice makes perfect. The sun is shining and it's already -5, should be a beautiful day. For a polar bear. True Grit is getting good reviews, will have to get it on DVD when it comes out. I was 0-for-2 on my football predictions for yesterday, so I'll have to see if I can keep up my streak today.

Enjoy your day!

Old dogs .......

One day an old German Shepherd starts chasing rabbits and before long, discovers that he's lost.. Wandering about, he notices a panther heading rapidly in his direction with the intention of having lunch.

The old German Shepherd thinks, "Oh, oh! I'm in deep doo-doo now!"

Noticing some bones on the ground close by, he immediately settles down to chew on the bones with his back to the approaching cat. Just as the panther is about to leap, the old German Shepherd exclaims loudly,

"Boy, that was one delicious panther! I wonder, if there are any more around here?"

Hearing this, the young panther halts his attack in mid-strike, a look of terror comes over him and he slinks away into the trees.

"Whew!," says the panther, "That was close! That old German Shepherd nearly had me!"

Meanwhile, a squirrel who had been watching the whole scene from a nearby tree, figures he can put this knowledge to good use and trade it for protection from the panther. So, off he goes.

The squirrel soon catches up with the panther, spills the beans and strikes a deal for himself with the panther.

The young panther is furious at being made a fool of and says, "Here, squirrel, hop on my back and see what's going to happen to that conniving canine!"

Now, the old German Shepherd sees the panther coming with the squirrel on his back and thinks, "What am I going to do now?," but instead of running, the dog sits down with his back to his attackers, pretending he hasn't seen them yet, and just when they get close enough to hear, the old German Shepherd says...

"Where's that squirrel? I sent him off an hour ago to bring me another panther!"

Moral of this story...

Don't mess with the old dogs... Age and skill will always overcome youth and treachery!
BS and brilliance only come with age and experience.

Well... I watched some football... and was genuinely disappointed. Damned Eagles took a real dump on the field.

They really need to fix up that defence and work on the o-line during the off season. They are close, they have the weapons... just can't let them get dinged up to much.

Tomorrow will be me taking the tree down. I was to depressed to add to it by doing the tree.

Been working on the Guru today, did another email blast... sorry for it being so close, but the things were important to share!

I need to clean up the garage, I think I will aim at that tomorrow.

And Thursday is TRIVIA NIGHT!!! Don't forget!
