We have had some female owners recently join us and they seemed to have quietly slipped into the crowd. Over at that other site you knew when a female was posting as all the leg humpers would come out of the woodwork. Let's keep our atmosphere going here so everyone feels welcome and not put out

I agree...theres one or two I know at brand X that wont post not so much because of leghumping but the asinie responses they get because a woman couldnt possibly out drive them or have the same interest as a guy. Turns into a trainwreck every time.

Weird...

I have to admit that is one thing I do miss from the other site. Most women that post, are into their cars and can hold their own in technical and off color conversations. Let's hear it for the Ladies

Although there are exceptions and I know the moderators here will take care of the exceptions, there is a general aura of respectfulness at this forum that just isn't found elsewhere. For the most part members are respectful of others, and once someone voices that they or another are offended, whoever offended them is very apologetic. Another reason I like it here. I hope the ladies of the forum can continue to post questions, comments, and jokes and get the same responses that they would get if they were men.

If anyone's stupid enough to believe that, they need to go up against ERND IT one time. She's a moderator over at CF in the Auto-X/ Road Racing and SE sections. She's also just a super neat lady and can drive the wheels off of her Corvettes. I've never even gotten close to her times when competing against her. Donna takes her racing very seriously. We both belong to CCRT, a regional racing club that's part of NCCC.

Fixed it for you. Hard to hump from way down under anyways. You'd get a sore back.

Question: On the matter of transexuals, should we treat them as their former gender or there current one? Transvestites I can figure out on my own but this one's a stumper...

I dunno. Is a gay transsexual straight? Is a stumper a slang term for transsexual?

More questions than answers here. Where's our local experts on this?

That would be Donna Littlejohn! She is an incredible lady! She was president of my Corvette Club when I lived in South Carolina - Capitol City Corvette Club! She was top finishing woman Auto-X in NCCC Southeast this past year I belive. I have been watching her progress!! I remember when she bought her Z06.

Been here a little while, but I tend to keep quiet.....
I've encountered assinine responses in other places and as far as off color conversations, I have witnesses (upon request
:thumbright: ) that I can hold my own.
Being a female, I don't know the ins and outs of my car but I try to do the best that I can, learn everything possible, try to do minor repairs if possible, and at least gain more knowledge prior to taking it to a shop to keep from getting screwed in a way I really don't want to.... There are occasions that I may say something stupid or ask a dumb question, but please forgive as I am simply trying to learn and make friends.
Cheers! :thumbleft:

'Being a female' has absolutely nothing to do with it - it's all about interest and experience. There are plenty of males that don't have a clue about cars - it's not a genetic trait.

We're all here to have fun, learn and share!

I guarantee I won't be trying to get into your pants. Trust me, the mental image is enough to make me hurl and ten people nearby will die because of the grotesque grimace on my face.
