Spent the night working in my sleep. Sucks ..... Now I have a ton of real work to do. In the middle of my other chore list, I'll be working on the trailer we just picked up. Got all the old deck off and got the wood for the new deck. Sanding, priming and painting all the lower stuff that will be hidden by the deck before the welder gets it later today to do some mods on it for us. I'll touch up whatever he burns later. He'll be welding on an angle iron that will keep the deck in place. No rest for the weary. Well maybe not weary but a little tired from working all night.

Good Morning CGs!

Radio said it's already 38 outside....awesome. I am so looking forward to nice weather this week.

Worked on the neighbor's car yesterday...new plugs, oil change, air filter...basic tune up but the plugs made a big difference. Had to modify a coil wire that wasn't seating right, no big deal. Still needs an EGR valve which is a pia to get to. Oh well...another day.

Hope everyone has a great day!

Matthew

PS - it's Valentine's Day, don't forget that, married men!

Greetings! I have to teach a class today, Wednesday and Friday - a little change of pace. Maybe somebody will bring me an apple. Like an iPad or something.

Have a good one!

Good morning guys...Must be something in the air, Tommy, I worked all night too. My mind was going all night. It was a very un-restful night. Looking for highs in the mid 50's today.

Good morning!

I did the Valentine thing over the weekend. I tried to cover all bases with flowers, chocolates, and dinner. I couldn't get in trouble that way. We had a good time.

I spent a good amount of time yesterday cleaning up front suspension parts on the passenger side. Removed, cleaned and sprayed the wheel house pieces with the rubberized undercoating. That stuff looks pretty good when it dries. Now I just have to duplicate my efforts next weekend on the drivers side. Here are a few pics of my effort. Not as good as a Mick Stephens cleaning, but ok for Government Work!

Nice work Don! How is your engine project doing? What is the ETA of it being ready to install?

Valentines Day! Do not screw this up!! There will be hell to pay if you do!

Did my P90X this morning and it did not hold a candle to the 4 or 5 hours of working out on a C4! Man I was tired and sore after that. Slept like a baby after a hot soak and a couple of advils. MamaMia.

Let's get out there and kick some ass today, it's great weather for it.

It's like 65 here today and I'm stuck at work then I have class tonight until 10.

Supposed to be up to 70 later on in the week though.

Even though I wasn't feeling the best I got out there and washed/waxed and detailed my wifes car for her. She loves it when I do that, she's not a car girl but she likes them clean. Then after I rested for a bit I grilled us a nice london broil on the grill and we ate a candlelit dinner. It was a nice quiet Valentine's day for us. She met me for lunch today too.

Still feeling a little run down from the Flu but I'm so glad the fever is gone. Nothing like feeling like your going to suffer from hypothermia in 40 degree weather.

Hope everyone has a great day!

Jeff

Engine is about two weeks from completion. They will be finishing the build in the next week or so and plan to run it in on the engine dyno with a carburator and modified intake with standard top mounted dizzy.

Pete emailed me this weekend and said the tranny is really close to finishing and will only take a couple more hours to complete. I'll be making a trip up to PA to pick that up from Pete in the next few weeks I would imagine. Hope the snow is over for the year.

So, if I get both the transmission and engine back by Mid-March. I will have four weeks to get it together for my April 17th Evolution Performance Driving School Class. That kind of marks the "gotta be finished" date. I'd like it sooner but I doubt I can work that fast, and money it takes too!!! My club is doing a Cruise to the Corvette Musem the last weekend in March, and I'd love to do that with my car... but that is a stretch to get it done by then I think.

Don't forget Don, you have to break it in before you break it again. Just messin with ya. Degreasing the engine and wheel wells is high on my priorities of Corvette projects but about #47 on my things I have yet to do. Busted ass on the trailer all day. Wife took it to the tire place to get a new set of trailer tires. $125 a pop. All the undercarriage is sanded primed and painted. Still have from the deck up to paint after I get it back from the welding shop. I had primer and paint splotches all over me. Still have to get some out of my hair and beard. I'm tired and hungry ......... Catch ya later ......

Wonderful day.

The granite didn't call back on Saturday and didn't meet me at the tile shop this morning.
So, granite guy looses $1k
Tile shop looses $1k.
And I'll start over.

Was headed to HD this morning, went out thru the shop, the workbench is flooded, the back of the C4's wet. The 1 1/2 in down pipe from the toilet to the trap just broke in half.
I had to knock out wet drywall in the ceiling, cut the pipe off and squeeze in a 1 1/2 to 2 in. rubber connector.

If nothing else, at least I can take a crap now.

So, we got high winds and the power goes out at 3 this afternoon.
About quarter of 6 I decide to string 2 extension cords, one to the furnace, one up stairs to the TV.
I pull out the generator, fire it up and the second I get it off choke, the power company truck pulls up.
