I've been pretty well occupied lately with several ongoing projects. I was thinking of riding up to meet with Andy and Ken Potter but looks like I'll have to forego that idea. I have way more outgo than income right now. Have to try to reign in some spending. Boston trip is ready to book. Just waiting to get the OK from the petsitter. Have a few companies for the car haul. Looks like it will cost around $900. They haven't started on the 91 yet but they really aren't planning to till next week. Should get a call on my 90 today. Replaced the condenser but needed a compressor kit too. Hell, the system is 21 years old. I really kind of expected it. Have to ride up to Northern tool today to order/pick up a tank lid. West Marine to order some solar battery chargers and get some fire extinguishers. Pay some bills ..... That's enough to keep me busy for awhile.

Howdy! Busy day here too, have to go to a funeral later this morning. On the bright side, it's not mine. If the roads are dry later, I'll be bringing the Vette home tonight, which should bring any number of grins. The snowbanks have gone down by about a foot in the past couple of days, but there's still a few left.

Have a great day, everyone!

Good Morning. Absolutely a beautiful day! Sunny high near 67.
Took the cover of the 87 last night, fired right up! no mice nests anywhere, no puddles of leaky stuff, just the way I left it in October. Gawd I love this vette.
Gas prices have dropped! $3.43 for reg.
Repairing our Oliver thickness planer this morning, it was built in 1936 and the bearings are seizing up on the drive roller, a little heat and hopefully it will take a shot of grease. It has to last until Memorial Day.
Gotta go!

Friday lots to do. Deliver the dog to it's personal groomer then go tape the wife's kindergarten program, then do all my regular work. Nuts! almost forgot it's garbage day. I am ready for the weekend.

Still no header so I guess I will make another call to see what excuse they have now. Honestly!

Tommy have a productive day, Brad have fun getting your car home. Ron glad your car started right up and is ready to go. Wish mine was. Soon real soon.

Keep the peddle down today, weekend is almost here. Have a good day guru's!

How to have fun when you retire:

Working people frequently ask retired people what
they do to make their days interesting.Well, for example, the other day, Mary my wife and Iwent into town and visited a shop. When we came out, there was a cop writing out a parking ticket. We went up to him and I said, 'Come on, man,how about giving a senior citizen a break?'He ignored us and continued writing the ticket.I called him an “a_shole” . He glared at me and started writing another ticket for having worn-out tires. So Mary called him a “sh_it head”. He finished thesecond ticket and put it on the windshield with the first. Then he started writing more tickets. This went on for about 20 minutes. The more we abused him, the more tickets he wrote. Just then our bus arrived, and we got on it and went home.
We try to have a little fun each day now that we're retired.

Things to Think About:

1. My husband and I divorced over religious differences. He thought he was God and I didn't.

2. I don't suffer from insanity; I enjoy every minute of it.

3.Some people are alive only because it's illegal to kill them.

4. I used to have a handle on life, but it broke.

5. Don't take life too seriously; No one gets out alive.

6.You're just jealous because the voices only talk to me

7.Beauty is in the eye of the beer holder.

8.Earth is the insane asylum for the universe.

9. I'm not a complete idiot -- Some parts are just missing.

10.Out of my mind. Back in five minutes.

11.NyQuil, the stuffy, sneezy, why-the-heck-is-the-room-spinning medicine.

12. God must love stupid people; He made so many.

13.The gene pool could use a little chlorine.

14.Consciousness: That annoying time between naps.

15. Ever stop to think, and forget to start again?

16.Being 'over the hill' is much better than being under it!

17.Wrinkled Was Not One of the Things I Wanted to Be When I Grew up.

18. Procrastinate Now!

19. I Have a Degree in Liberal Arts; Do You Want Fries With That?

20. A hangover is the wrath of grapes.

21. A journey of a thousand miles begins with a cash advance.

22. Stupidity is not a handicap. Park elsewhere!

23.They call it PMS because Mad Cow Disease was already taken.

24. He who dies with the most toys is nonetheless DEAD.

25. A picture is worth a thousand words, but it uses up three thousand times the memory.

26. Ham and eggs... A day's work for a chicken, a lifetime commitment for a pig.(how true)

27.The trouble with life is there's no background music.

28.The original point and click interface was a Smith & Wesson.

29. I smile because I don't know what the hell is going on.

Morning guys....TGIF. Tommy you're busier than a one armed paper hanger. Brad, I'm glad that you are finally getting the Vette back where it belongs. Ron, those old Olivers are great machines, but like anything else, they need maintenance. Marcus, I'd be pissed about that header.

We have a wedding to go to tomorrow and a drive back to where we grew up on Sunday. I am going to tear our bathroom apart this week and put down new tile, a new vanity that I built. I took out the door and the trim last night and am refinishing it.

Good Morning CGs!

Day 4 of daddy daycare. I'm ready to go back to work for a vacation Funny because my wife has now worked 4 days in a row which she hasn't done in several years...she's ready to come back home I guess we all get in our routines and grow accustomed to that. In college I worked two jobs and went to school full time and I thought it was great

I'm hoping to tinker with the car this weekend. I just need to trim the gaskets a bit and then throw everything together. I need to get a new rubber grommet for by brake booster line, too. The old one was cracked last year and causing a vacuum leak, so I just rtv'd the crap out of it. Worked fine until I had to disassemble everything for the injector pull. Might as well do it right for $2.99.

Hope everyone has a great day!

Matthew

Yep, that just about sums it up. I work like I had one hand tied behind my back. Maybe it's not tied. Maybe my wife is holding it up back there.

Houston, we have ignition! The Vette is home, safe and sound. Started right up, just like always. The new Cooper tires I put on last summer seem to have flat-spotted pretty good, even though I over-inflated them before putting the car away. I guess that just means it will need a few more miles under its belt. Anyway, that drive home is always life-affirming.
