Good Morning CGs!

Well despite the fact that yesterday was Monday and was crappy weather, it was a good day for me. First off I set a PR for myself on the bench which I was excited about. I've been working to get over a plateau so this was a big boost for me. Secondly, the neighbor came over after work and helped me frame the area in the yard for the concrete extension on the patio. It always amazes me how fast and good he is with construction. After that I went over to his house and helped him remove some privacy fencing sections and reset them further down the yard as he is extending his fence. Took a while but we got it all squared up nicely. So it was a productive day. I like that.

Lots of rain already this morning. Very dreary. I could crawl back into bed without much thought if it weren't for that thing called "work." Oh well.

Hope everyone has a great day!

Matthew

I've been kinda busy lately burning the midnight oil. Three days straight of about 5 hours sleep (and an hour nap later in the day). I need to get a good nights rest and get back on a better sleep schedule. I ordered $200 worth of replacement items for the 928 last night. (air filter, oil filter, fuel filter, wipers, fuses etc) Clean the house and work on the cars a little is what's on the agenda for today. 11 days left till the cruise not that I'm counting. Gonna book the shore excursions tomorrow with my son. He's coming over and we'll see what we'd like to do. Mostly bus tours with a stop for lunch. Mom, at 84, doesn't care for the jet skiing, scuba diving, horseback riding type activities. I can do most of the stuff they offer on shore excursions on any given weekend since I live in this lush tropical paradise. That's why I prefer the tours that give a little history and the highlights of the place your visiting. Enough banter .......... Time to get up and at em' ....... Later ..........

Good neighbor, Matt,

My next door neighbor came over yeaterday to discuss property lines (he's building a 30x30 garage, the prick ). He had a plat from the surveyer and I found out that my lot is 20 feet wider on 2 sides than I thought. Free land

The neighbor across the street is putting up some ornamental steel fence and the gate he got is a foot too short so, I'm going to cut it and weld in a section for him today.

Of course this will happen after my daily trip to Lowes.

Howdy! I'd like to be cruising out of here - we're supposed to get several inches of snow over the next day or two. Kill me now.

Morning guys...congrats Matt on hitting the new PB. Tommy, I know you'll pick the right things to do, sounds like fun.

I got up and my grandsons woke up crabby and dragging their feet, I announced, as usual, "Anyone one riding with me?" And ended up leaving them to walk to school. I hope they figure out they have to get around in the morning, if they want a ride.

It's going to be much cooler today and tomorrow, but pleasant none the less.

Brad, just remember that snow this time of the year won't hang around very long. (you got to look on the bright side)

Depends where you are.
Some of the ski slopes here are talking about having ski day on July 4th!
They have 65 feet that has melt before it's gone.

Good morning, all!

Waiting at home to day for the annual maintenance visit from our HVAC folks. So, working on registration for the show and cleaning up a little bit ("lightening the house" as my wife calls it).

Some good neighbors for you guys. Ours are widely varying: some great, some sketchy.

Bill, we got a surveyor in about two years ago (another Corvette guy) and I'm really glad we did: we were giving up land on multiple sides of our yard.

Good morning everyone! Matt that deserves a big Husker Atta Boy!! You gotta bust through those barriors. Tommy talk to me more about your lush tropical paradise. I was brought out of a deep and restfully sleep by the sound of heavy thunder at 3 am last night. Followed by rain and hail a lot of which is still covering the deck.

Then as I am going to the bathroom I hear water splashing that wasn't from what I was doing and looked up to find the ceiling leaking water down into the bathroom. Ah geez I hate roof leaks. They are so hard to track down a lot of times. Like trying to find a wiring problem on a C4.

So that is what I will be doing for awhile this morning then some office work. I told the help not to come in because of the rain. Planting is on hold until we get some decent weather. Send it on over Tom we could use it.

Oh well, at least I have a cool car! Have a good day Guru's!

Last Saturday i saw 2 C2's and a C1, went to the casino and won $520.
Today coming back from Lowes, a red, new ZR1 pulls up beside me then, I see a red C4 then see a red C3 big block. Maybe I'll hit the casino tonite.

Of course you are right Bill. But not everyone lives in the mountains.......

And 65'? That a lot of snow, should not have any problems with fresh water there, Huh?

I am thinking he should go and put 20 bucks on something for me and if it tanks I will send it to him. If it hits he can send the money to me less his usual fee. Is that like internet gambling? He could set up a whole side business, Guru Gaming. Of course Andy would have to get a cut, and Bill would have to be honest..........nevermind!

I think Bill should vote "A".

Wait, is Bill allowed to vote on a poll about Bill???
.

Wait, like I care about a poll. Polls? We don't need no stinkin' polls......We need beer and there's beer where?
That's right, at the casino.

Well, that didn't work. The casino giveth and the casino taketh away.
I didn't even get a nice, cold beer choked down before I lost $20. So, I left.
Looks like I'll have to go back to my normal operation - playing nickels one at a time.
.

Unless I see another C2 on the street.

You should have figured that. After all, you saw a c4 cross your path which is worse luck than a black cat walking under a ladder holding an open umbrella in the house while breaking a mirror.

Nasty storm coming through right now with wind and lightening. It's been raining all day. Good for the flowers, bad for the morale

I remember the change cup from the olden days. One night in the Flamingo, I hit for 30 bucks early on a nickle machine. I went over to the Roulette table and popped down a 20 on a Red/Black bet. Winner. Then I walked around and came back to Roulette. Another $20 on Red or Black. Winner. First night I was up a buck and a half at bedtime. The next night I followed the same routine on a different Roulette wheel. You'll never guess what happened. You already know. Yep! Made a healthy contribution to the Las Vegas gaming industry.

Cruise is coming up. I usually budget about a grand on a one week cruise. I'm thinking of keeping my money in my pocket this time. It'll be like coming out a thousand ahead.
Hell I could go into the room safe, put $150 in my pocket and pretend I'm a winner. Whoo Hoo! 150 bucks ..... After 7 days I'd have $1050 in MY pocket. Then I could buy some more parts with it.

Congrats on the PB, they are hard to come by. My PB is showing up on schedule. We had nasty storms here last week but it cleared up and I got to drive my 94 pg all weekend after getting the PCM back. Life is good... super windy today, of course, had to drive 400 miles RT in my Silverado. I'm wore out.
