I was planning to do the install on the weekend so I set out this morning to get stuff ready, jack up the car and spay on some bolt remover. Things went so well I've got it all installed but not tightened yet. Check out the picture. I have little or no clearance under the rearend. Do I have the centre muffler on upside down? I followed the picture in the instructions.

It sure looks nice! Hope you get it worked out, good luck. I don't have a corsa but the stock exhaust with headers. I know when I put the headers on it lowered the whole exhaust system down so I could hardly get the tabs shown in your pix close enough to start the bolts thru the holes, I ended bending the tabs so it would work, don't know if that will help you or not.

As long as it's not touching your fine.
The center mufflers look correct. The strap for the rear muffler hanger is on the the bottom like it should be.... My Corsa is pretty close to the bottom of the diff cover as well. Will |

I finally got through on the 800 number and talked to the C4 specialist who said not to worry.
Now my only problem is my outlets are nice and level but one is slightly lower than the other. Couldn't get them the same no matter how I jiggered it around. Tomorrow I'll put a spacer between the frame and the hanger to bring one side down 1/4 to 3/8" so it's the same as the other side. |

Rotate the S pipe (pipe that connects the rear muffler to the center mufflers) so it points the inlet of the muffler a little lower which will raise the tips up closer to the bumper cover. Will |

Yea, Will is right, twisting the resonator will do wonders for that fitment.
Also, if you need some more space, jam a thin something - my install guy used a roll of tape - between the diff and the resonator. It will force the springs to compress a bit more and draw the system down. |

You can also pull that rear hanger off the frame and elongate the hole. I first got the bottom of the S pipes even then did the tips.

Bogus that's a good tip to increase clearance. I loosened the clamps and jammed a 5/8" piece of wood between the pipes and the rearend and it stayed down after things were tightened up. |

I have a corsa I am installing, go it used.. I had it perfect until I realized the resonator was upside down.. now I swapped the resonator around and I am having trouble getting the tips close to the bumper again.
Are the 'S' pipes side specific? if so maybe I swapped them and that will get my mufflers back int he right spot |

The s pipes have two different part numbers. My instructions didn't say which side was which.

I had to shim one of my rear hangers down a bit where it bolts to the frame to get the same clearance from the body. No matter how much I moved the s-pipes around I coulded get it the same. It wasn't out too much but I'm fussy so I wanted it the same. Corsa has a welded on l-bracket with no adjustment. I don't know why they didn't make the muffler hanger so it utilizes the factory l-bracket. Magnaflow does.

in all the years I have swapped exhaust, I have tried band clamps, 1 bolt band style clamps and U-bolt clamps U-bolt hold the twisting the best outside of welding I will tack weld the mufflers and S pipes, since I bought the system used, there is not enough room for band clamps and the 1 bolt clamps would not hold the pipes from twisting |

I agree, the U Bolt sytle work the best for sealing, and twisting, but make removal an problem because they bend/crush the pipe onto the pipe inside, band clamps sometimes are hard to seal, and they tend to allow twisting but allow you to usually take the pipes apart later because they do not crush the metal as much as the u-bolts.. I bet the ZR1 sounds awesome! |

With the Corsa system on my 94 I had problems at first with the pipes twisting a bit. But I found that by running it through a few heat cycles and tightening after each one I finally got it. When I put the Corsa on the C5, I did the same thing and have not had any issue. Band clamps are nice is those respects as stated above and they are not so good as stated. I put a DB system (made by Corsa) on my pickup, but it came with regular muffler clamps (although they are stainless), instead of the band clamps. I almost bought band clamps to put it on with. My local auto parts store carries them in stock. Maybe not a big deal for you guys in metropolitan areas, but in rural America that's quite something.
