I am up and out real early this morning. Got stuff to do, got stuff to do. Got word that our future SIL scored real high on his MCAT's test. That is the test that aspiring Doctors take to see if they can get excepted to med school. He should have no trouble getting in somewhere.

Gotta run, hope you all have a good day!

Good Morning
Here are a few points to ponder. No plans for today as of yet. I'm in the planning stages. (slurping coffee)

PARAPROSDOKIANS
I had to look up "paraprosdokian". Here is the definition:
"Figure of speech in which the latter part of a sentence or phrase is surprising or unexpected; frequently used in a humorous situation."
"Where there's a will, I want to be in it," is a type of paraprosdokian.

Ok, so now enjoy!
1. Do not argue with an idiot. He will drag you down to his level and beat you with experience.

2. The last thing I want to do is hurt you. But it's still on my list.

3. Light travels faster than sound. This is why some people appear bright until you hear them speak.

4. If I agreed with you, we'd both be wrong.

5. We never really grow up, we only learn how to act in public.

6. War does not determine who is right - only who is left.

7. Knowledge is knowing a tomato is a fruit. Wisdom is not putting it in a fruit salad.

8. Evening news is where they begin with 'Good Evening,' and then proceed to tell you why it isn't.

9. To steal ideas from one person is plagiarism. To steal from many is research.

10. A bus station is where a bus stops. A train station is where a train stops. On my desk, I have a work station.

11. I thought I wanted a career. Turns out I just wanted paychecks.

12. Whenever I fill out an application, in the part that says, 'In case of emergency, notify:' I put 'DOCTOR.'

13. I didn't say it was your fault, I said I was blaming you.

14. Women will never be equal to men until they can walk down the street with a bald head and a beer gut, and still think they are sexy.

15. Behind every successful man is his woman. Behind the fall of a successful man is usually another woman.

16. A clear conscience is the sign of a fuzzy memory.

17. I asked God for a bike, but I know God doesn't work that way. So I stole a bike and asked for forgiveness.

18. You do not need a parachute to skydive. You only need a parachute to skydive twice.

19. Money can't buy happiness, but it sure makes misery easier to live with.

20. There's a fine line between cuddling and holding someone down so they can't get away.

21. I used to be indecisive. Now I'm not so sure.

22. You're never too old to learn something stupid.

23. To be sure of hitting the target, shoot first and call whatever you hit the target.

24. Nostalgia isn't what it used to be.

25. Change is inevitable, except from a vending machine.

26. Going to church doesn't make you a Christian any more than standing in a garage makes you a car.

27. A diplomat is someone who tells you to go to hell in such a way that you look forward to the trip.

28. Hospitality is making your guests feel at home even when you wish they were.

29. I always take life with a grain of salt. Plus a slice of lemon, and a shot of tequila.

30. When tempted to fight fire with fire, remember that the Fire Department usually uses water.

Good Morning CGs!

Accidentally set "alarm 2" instead of "alarm 1" this morning and overslept a few minutes. Luckily my "body alarm" woke me up without too much worry. I give myself a little cushion of time, but that means no computee time this morning.

Hope everyone has a great day!

Good Morning... Just getting moving myself.
Lots of things to do for work today. I can't wait until quitting time! I'll be back in the garage tonight tying up some loose ends. I need to run out and get some Anti-Freeze, Power Steering fluid, and a couple gals of transmission fluid. Hopefully I'll be loading Mick's Tune before the weekend and Hopefully, I can turn the key by Friday!!

Greetings! No Vette for me for a couple days - they're seal-coating the driveway today, so it'll be stuck in the garage. Nice sunny day here, gonna bail out at noon and play golf.

They were talking about Harmon Killebrew on the radio this morning - the sports guy said he once asked Harmon what was the best day he ever had. Harmon said, "I try to make every day the best day I ever had."

Enjoy your Hump Day, everyone!

Well another day, another donut er, dollar. I can never get that straight.

Is $80.00 per hour too much for a professional photographer?
I'd wax the car but maybe the wax button at the carwash would produce a winner.

With what you just won at the casino you can get a 2 hour shoot plus pay for a mobile detail.

$80 / hour is cheap if you ask me! If he is a true professional $80 per hour is not bad...

I guess this means you are going to try to buy a WIN for the GURU Online Car Show!

Bill I don't know if you want to mess with the online car show. Your time is much more well spent at the Casino having a beer and winning some unbelivable amounts of money. Lucky BillH should be your new Guru name.

Of course it's not all good at your place your birds are trying to kill each other.

Y'all bring up a good point. Although winning would be nice, the point of the show is to let members check out your ride. Weather it's pink or purple, beauty or beast, post a pic.

Yea, I figured a pro could get the pic in the right context, correct lighting, etc.

Good afternoon guys....Bill, she looks like a "pro" to me. I never expect to win anything, which my dream is usually self-fulfilling

It's been a busy morning, trying to get the shop cleaned up, tools put away, projects finished, students checked out. I have about a half dozen projects to do in the next two weeks and get done.

A little cooler here today, dampish, but no rain. I may have to resort to using some "old" pictures for the car show. Not sure when I will get the Corvette out again to take some new ones. Weather here just isn't cooperating.

So, I had to go to Home D today and naturally I stopped in the casino for a half hour.

He's got a system alright. 20 bucks at the slots will get you 2 free beers (most of the time). He's a slow button pusher.

And I'm $250 ahead for the day. Good thing, the Silverado & the C4 need tires.

I also hit the mega number on Mega-Millions but not the other 5.

I was also doubly lucky, before I went to HD, I pushed the fridge back into place. Then decided to go on Guru once more before I left. The copper icemaker line was kinked and split. Water would have been everywhere if I left right away.

AND, I turned off the propane tank to change the fitting behind the stove from straight to right angle.
Didn't blow up the house, even got the furnace relit.

Hmmm, I guess I could do it for $20 an hour. Of course I will need roundtrip airfare form Cleveland, lodging, and a rental car while I am there. Oh, up front of course.
