GM CGs

After I worked a full day out in the yard my wife came home from the plant show and sale she is working this weekend. With her usual full of piss and vinegar self she wanted to start putting the kitchen back together again. The faucets, disposal and dishwasher made it to the reinstall. I was brain dead around half way through those jobs. My tourettes came back with a vengence , which is usually the case when I get overtired and numb in the skull. Of couse lots of stuff needs minor mods to accomodate the reinstall but they're getting done. Today the microwave has to be remounted. It also needs a little adjustment to brace the frame. Here's the show stopper. On the bar section of the counter, on the biggest peice of granite she found a hairline crack. She called the installer pronto. It's about 18 inches long. Looks to be a stress crack. He'll be here around noon to fix it. I hope and pray he does a good job on the fix. If not, there's gonna be hell to pay and I'm gonna have a ringside seat.

Kitty didn't particularly care if it was the day to turn back the clocks. At 05:00 he came in an ran up and down my body as I lay sleeping under the comforter. His wake up call. I didn't get pissed. I was actually ready to get up at my regular time anyway. Meow.... meow .... feed me. Meow .... meow, play with me. The dogs and the cat still have bouts of agression. Mainly when kitty tries to move in on a treat the dogs are chompin on. Not a smart move there kitty.

Nice bright day out....what time is it anyway? Everybody is a little flat this morning after the beat down by Northwestern yesterday...every year for the last 6 years we have had a big game win the previous week and then a let down home loss to an unranked team.......you would think they would start to see a pattern there.

Church and then.......a Corvette ride maybe.....that sounds like fun....Hope you all have a good day off....

Speaking of Kittys....there was a mountain lion sighting at a home about a mile east of us last week.......big kitty....nice kitty...

Greetings! It was windier than hell last night - it picked up a fairly heavy steel swivel chair off the deck, and it went all the way to the ground. Hopefully it didn't do much damage on the way down. I just got up, not feeling particularly well - I've been coming down with some kind of galloping crud for the last couple days. I heard the "S" word in the forecast for Wednesday, so maybe I'd better get cracking on putting the Vette away.

Have a good one, yawlz!

Unfortunately, before you know it, your gonns be knee deep in S......
Today it's drizzly. Screws up some of my plans.
I ahve plenty of inside work as a backup though. Already dumped the Corian into our trash pile. We're on round two of the clean up and planting mission. I planted a Cherry of the Rio Grande yesterday. That's a dark sweet cherry that blossoms around December/January and fruits about 4 to 6 weeks later later. Delicious. We have an avocaado, mango, carambola, lychee and citrus tree in. More varieties to come. I like fruit trees. We're doing different micro habitats througout the yard and have already started placing nursery plants. We have a 1 1/2 hp irrigation pump up and running and a put down ground cloth. We're gonna convert at least a quarter acre to growing trees and plants here at the house. Property tax incentives. Always got an angle.

May God have mercy on your credit card, Matt ;-)

Miraculously, the deck chair did no damage whatsoever to the deck, not a mark. This made me so happy that I am making mini-donuts to celebrate.

Here is yet another situation that even if you win .... you lose. Buy quality. It pays for itself over the long haul. Or buy cheap junk ..... You can replace cheap junk over and over again getting new furniture more frequently.

Afternoon guys....got up and went to church, then took out the one daughter/family out for a late breakfast. Now we are here and the wife is helping daughter do some sewing. I'm ready to head west, temps are not bad (upper 50's) and the wind isn't blowing too hard. Looking forward to heading home.

Same here.

Ran an interesting 10k this morning - back and forth across Philadelphia's Ben Franklin bridge. Did okay (on the better side of my hoped-for time range), though the wife was a couple of minutes ahead.

Now, home. Time to get some work done.

I know just how you feel man. Only the wife is ahead of me by hundreths of a second. Speaking of which; We didn't even run one event this year. Between Dr.s and the move, autocross took a back seat. New season starts in January. Gives me time to get ready.

Aaaaaaacckkkk!

I'm bushed. I got my old snowblower out of the shed and got it ready to go - I gave it to a friend of my son's who came and picked it up this afternoon. Then made another lattice panel for under the deck, washed and vacuumed the Vette and changed the oil. I'm putting it away tomorrow night.

EWW!!!!

Why??????????????

haven't slept good, but got invited to church this am so got up and went. Supposed to been sunny and breezy and instead it's cloudy and windy and cold. Just like a dreary depressing winter day. Tried to take a nap before gym as I knew I'd be tired but the rugrat next door is learning to run and his igornant mamma don't have a clue that others live next door and don't wanna hear that crap. I know kids play but sun up to sundown non stop is ridiculous. I dont' know how many times I've had to turn my radio down cause their baby was asleep when the radio wasn't loud to start with. Never mind if Letty needs to sleep cause she don't feel good. I'm bout to put the sub up against the wall on full volume and leave for a day or two. Needless to say I didn't get my nap, was worn out from gym, but managed to get in an hour of ZZZZs when I got home. Now I'll be up all night.
Do it all again tomorrow.....

Made it home, I'm tired from driving 6 hours. Had almost an hour stop at the in-laws. Mom is sure getting frail, dad's showing his age trying to take care of mom. Discussed Christmas with them as they always host the family in their town......Christmas?????

Walked into WalMart Friday morning and two associates were putting up a Christmas tree...I walked up to them and asked if they knew that Halloween was over....Yes. Why? I said "That Christmas tree is scaring the hell out of me." We all laughed.

Thirty minutes after administering this herbal remedy my pillow starts callin me. Of course I have to have some chocolate chip cookies, a brownie and a big bowl of ice cream first but damn if it doesn't put me out. I haven't tried it in many moons but I'm sure the effects would be the same.
