I want to start today off on a positive note. I said I want to but I woke up at 05:15 with a backache. Nothing positive about that. Guess I'll just have to wait till the ibuprofen kicks in. Later I hope to be able to dance the Hokey Pokey. When times are tough the best thing to do is dance.

Cold out there today. Radio says the roads are slippery so I need to get out a few minutes early.

I think the X might have a small coolant leak. I smelled something in the engine bay and had to add some to the reservoir...I'll keep an eye on it. The warranty runs out in about 60 days so it's something that will have to get fixed soon.

Morning guys...Last day of Christmas break for me. I did get started last night on my resolution. I did my workout. Headed down right now to do todays. Not much else planned for today, until the wife tells me what I am doing. We got all the Christmas decorations down and put away yesterday and the house back to what is, more or less, normal.

Greetings! Off to the paint store to see if I can get a can to touch up the living room. Had to patch the wall after moving the TV to another location. Oddly enough, the chunky 12-year-old paint in the semi-rusty can didn't work. If I can't match it, looks like I'll have a room to paint.

Worked on the Vette some yesterday....got the dreaded number 7 plug in.....I had to smile, when I was researching what plugs to use how many folks were saying how bad it was to change plugs in a C5.........it's a walk in the park compared to my 90.......the hardest part has been getting the plug wires off the plugs....they seem to like were they are have been for the last 10 years.

I did learn that instead of using anti seize GM wants you to use a small amount of Mobil 1 on the plug before installing.......Guru knowledge.....

Today some Football action as the Huskers take on South Carolina at noon in Orlando.......It will be a good game and I hope we win.........the team is healed up and ready to rumble........Go Big Red!

It got cold here last night!!! Brrr! Its windy and in the 40s today but at least its sunny. Today is a Federal Holiday so I'm off for one more day before going back to the grind tomorrow.

Matt - My XTerra has had a slight coolant smell for a year or so but I have had no luck tracking it down. Its not strong and most people could not pick up on it but I know its there somewhere. If you find yours, let me know where you found it, perhaps they are similar.

Kathie gave me a gift certificate from Mid America for Christmas that I should have used last week to order my front spoiler for the Vette. I could have been installing it today but I procrastinated as usual. So my list of things to do to the Vette grows.

List of Winter things to do to Corvette for Spring:

*Order and install new front spoiler/brake ducts
*Remove Derale deep trans pan and replace with shorter version
*Remove sway bar bushings and grease with something that won't squeak
*Flush the heater core
*Maybe new brakes and tires for April autocross season

A man was walking down the street when he was accosted by a particularly dirty and shabby-looking homeless man who asked him for a couple of dollars for dinner.

The man took out his wallet, extracted ten dollars and asked, "If I give you this money, will you buy some beer with it instead of dinner?"

"No, I had to stop drinking years ago," the homeless man replied.

"Will you use it to go fishing instead of buying food?" the man asked.

"No, I don't waste time fishing," the homeless man said. "I need to spend all my time trying to stay alive."

"Will you spend this on green fees at a golf course instead of food?" the man asked.

"Are you NUTS!" replied the homeless man. "I haven't played golf in 20 years!"

"Will you spend the money on a woman in the red light district instead of food?" the man asked.

"What disease would I get for ten lousy bucks?" exclaimed the homeless man.

"Well," said the man, "I'm not going to give you the money. Instead, I'm going to take you home for a terrific dinner cooked by my wife."

The homeless man was astounded. "Won't your wife be furious with you for doing that? I know I'm dirty and I probably smell pretty disgusting."

The man replied, "That's okay. It's important for her to see what a man looks like after he has given up beer, fishing, golf and sex."

Marcus, I know exactly what you mean on the plug change between C4 and C5. After doing my 94 (twice), the 01 was a cinch. I got my workout in, built up a good sweat. Had a phone call and did a little work for a guy running some boards through the surface planner. Made $20 for about 15 minutes work.

Cold here right now but is supposed to warm up a bit as the week goes on.

I am going to do some measuring and drawing plans for the other bathroom. The wife mentioned yesterday that she would like to redo the other bathroom. So that means I'll be doing another vanity and figuring out another plan pattern for tile.

I ended up getting the oil changed in the C5, then something called an oil pressure sending switch... makes my gauge read right. Got in it the other day and got excited when it hit 80 till I figured out it was 'stuck' and something wasn't right. Apparently the average oil pressure for the '02 isn't what it was in the '96. Still learning things...
had some pizza and a beer with a friend, then another girlfriend came over and bawled all night about her boyfriend being a jerk. Nice.
