WTF is wrong with the media outlets? They sensationalize everything, not to mention the live in a cave, no common sense, jackasses they interview to support their twisted views. On the recent Costa ship disaster they mentioned the Captain was having dinner with a woman and having drinks? I'm not saying the Capt. isn't responsible for his vessel. I'm saying he's not on the bridge 24/7. They actually have a life on board when at sea. What about the toast at the Captains dinner? I guess that's work related. My next point is about this morning on ABC. They start showing fights breaking out in the clubs and drunk people on board ships. Dah! People are on vacation having a good time. Ya, they get drunk, ya they do foolish things and ya there is a price to pay like getting tossed at the next port. It's all in the ships rules that people are supposed to read before they go. Of course this is America where most everybody must be spoon fed and held by the hand through anything from preschool to the the grave and beyond. One ass clown saw a fight in one of the ships nightclubs. He was talking about it ruined his vacation. How it scarred him and was this how the cruise line presents it's vacation of a lifetime packages? Grow up. Get a life. Realize people are people with all their faults and primitive behaviors. I felt like climbing through the TV set and smackin this guy around a little myself. What, are you a f@(%ing baby? The answer is YES YOU ARE. Grow a pair you immature douche bag. All you live in the dark, I want my mommy, can somebody do something?, wallowing bottom feeders. Grow up before I come over there and kick your f@(%ing ass. There ....... Now I feel better. |

It's the never ending parade of side stories meant to drag everybody through the mud. Like .....The Costa Concordia disaster, similar to the sinking of the Titanic. (not actually reported to my knowledge) WTF! There both ships that got gashes in there sides. To tell you the truth, If this was my baby I would have had emergency welders placing a patch, pumping out the water and uprighting the ship immediately. Action. That ship would be upright as we speak. Lives that could have been saved would have been saved. It's easy being a Monday morning quarterback.

I avoid news like the plague that it is. Just happened to turn on the tube this morning to get the weather and the talking heads rambled on and on and on. TV is still on but it's more like white noise ...... or black noise ...... better yet ........ a rainbow of noise .......... |

Just the other night I watched a fascinating program on PBS about news reporting. It was several journalists discussing the changes in news reporting.
All of them were highly respected journalists that have either left mainstream reporting to work with online news agencies or have left the field all together. Why ? As they stated, nobody is doing any real investigative reporting anymore. The networks are only interested in the latest storm, wreck, celebrity meltdown, etc. There is no substance to the "news". Now when you have respected journalists packing it in and walking away from what they have worked at for years, something is way way wrong. And then there is the image. "The bubble-headed, bleach blonde that comes on at 5, she can tell you about the plane crash with a gleem in her eye." Think about this, we have troops over in Afghanistan fighting. When is the last time you heard anything about what is going on over there ? It is all sensationalism and drama. |

The cops, firefighters here went beyond. The calls flooding into the news stations by people willing to take horses, board pets during this fire were huge. The casinos who live ny sucking the money out of your wallet all were offering rooms (with the highest at $40 per nite, some at $25) for evacuees and the waived all pet fees. Maybe we should all just put a 9mm thru our TVs. |
