Road trip with your best Buddy? Feeding the fish!!?? You guys have got it made! I'll be putting up chicken wire around the tomato/pepper garden. This will be a labor of love though. There will be plenty of fresh red fruits just in time for the late July picnics and some hot pepper challenges. Just some medium hots though, my days of growing fire are over. Those would be strictly ornamental...Maybe I'll grow some Ghost peppers just for show on the patio. Dad's would be 82nd was yesterday. It'll be a year he's gone in September. He'd have loved the garden. Oh well, maybe I'll visit the military cemetary later today. Looks like a good day Guys. 70's and a light breexe. The bike will definately make a run.
Later,
Catch the Limit Tommy!

Happy Friday! Looks like some rain is on the way shortly, but it should dry up later. Tonight we're gonna make the annual pilgrimage to the nursery to buy flowers, etc., so I know what the Mrs. will be working on tomorrow.

Have a good day, everybody!

Morning guys...Last Friday for me. No seniors today, so the morning will be quiet (I hope). Took the Corvette over to have my mechanic check out the power steering leak. He's thinking it is the steering rack. I found replacement racks for $210 from Zip Corvette products (+$400 core charge). He quoted me $600 for the rack ($1700 for a GM).

Looks to be a great day here. Mid 70's and light winds.

Good Afternoon CGs!

Had a miserable night last night. Baby woke up at 2:45 screaming. Wouldn't go back down, wanted to be carried around. Gave him teething tablets, bottle and a half of milk, whiskey on the gums, no luck. Was up until about 4:00 and I passed out, he was still awake laying in our bed (not sleeping). We tried to put him in the crib and close the door, he climbed out of the crib. First time ever. Uh oh. Around 5 #1 came in to our room because she had to potty and couldn't find her way in the dark bathroom. So that woke him up more. Wife kicked me out of the room because now two kids in bed. I slept in the other room until 6:20, she woke me up and I had to take #2 downstairs because he was still up

While feeding him lunch, my wife felt his ears, his right ear is warm. We are now thinking ear infection, not teething. He has an appointment at 2:30.

I'm stuck here at home on garage sale duty. Haven't had much action, it's a Friday. Tomorrow will be the big day, but I'll be at work. Already sold a few little items, mostly baby clothing.

Hope everyone has a great day!

Matthew

Does vacumming out the garage count as "housework" ?

Nope. Garagework

I did sweep mine today in addition to getting some tools and various things sorted and put away.

Hey Tommy, thought you were feeding the fish! What happened?

And no garage work for me! They just coated the driveway so the Vette stays parked for a few days. Sure could use a good sweeping though. I still have leaves blowing around in there. Thats what I get for having Maple trees. Too pretty in the fall to bitch about though. Another day.
Good luck on the garage sale Matthew....try not to give away a spare supercharger or something like that in your sleepless stupor. Poor kiddo. Its tough when they cant tell you what hurts. Sometimes laying the affected ear on a warm Mommy or Daddy helps. I'm not a big fan of antibiotics for everything. I watched kids go from simple amoxicillin to some much bigger guns fairly quickly. Ear infections usually resolve themselves in 2 to 3 days if theres no fever. Hope he feels better soon. Get some sleep my friend! You're a good Daddy!

Had to wait on my wife to do a couple of things. Went out at 10:30. Weather was nice, seas were calm, boat ran great and we caught some keeper grunts and porgies. The boat ran the best it's run in quite a while. No sputtering or stalling. One more reef trip as a precaution, then she'll be ready for an offshore dolphin(mahi-mahi)run. Mahi season is here. You don't want to be 15 miles offshore in a questionable craft. One of the main things I like is that if a boat engine fails you still float. You just have to wait for help. I have 2 radios and two cell phones on board when we go. Usually the cell phones will say No Service when you out on the big blue. I have a marine radio mounted and a hand held back-up. A hand held GPS to tell them where I am. In 30+ years of boating I've never been stranded out deep. I did breakdown once in the deep and a good Samaritan towed me in. I don't want there to be a first time either. People die out there. I've been towed in from the reef several times. That's why I carry tow insurance. One incident will cost you $500 plus. Tow insurance costs a buck fiddy. Worth every penny of it. I have trailer assist insurance too in case I have trailer trouble on the road. 10 bucks. Never used it but it's good to have it.

We ate the porgies for dinner and gave the grunts to our foreman. He likes to make a fish soup. There's nothing like fresh fish. Delicious.

I have a killer recipe for Cioppino, it's from Fisherman's Wharf in San Francisco. I use mahi in it.

BTW, mahi is easily put in a container with dry ice and shipped to Reno.
