Good Morning CGs!

More spammers this morning to deal with. PIA. We get rid of them as fast as we can but still annoying.

Another long day at work ahead of me, gotta run.

Hope everyone has a great day!

I hit the grocery store at about 10 last night. I didn't know until just recently that our Kroger was open all night long. Of course the close down the fish and seafood counter. We have a new store that I plan to try out. The one that's three blocks from my house is way too expensive same as the gas station at the end of the road. Figures, I live in the hood where most people are black, mexican, white trash and unemployed and where they have to get food and fuel costs much more than across town.
Up too early but figured since I was awake I'd get up and go to the gym.

Morning folks...first night back home was ok. I slept better in my own bed, albeit a little uncomfortable. No pain meds this morning. Working on the exercises and hoping they start showing some improvement in the next few days.

Morning Guru Nation....slept in and I needed to. No wind this morning and after two days of it I'm more than glad. Long day fighting to get venders to get me product and get trucks to pick it up and fighting with dispatchers....what is the deal with dispatchers? Do they all go somewhere to learn how to be difficult? Do they all have a certain personality trait that is recruited? I just finally came in the house slammed back a couple of Busch N/A's and said the hell with it........

After a dip in the hot tub last night and a good nights sleep and a cup of Dark Magic coffee I feel like I can face the day. What's everybody up to this weekend?

Here is an interesting project. One of my clients also does tractor restorations. Big in farm country with some guys owning a dozon or more restored old 40's and 50's farm tractors. He is good at it and guys send him their machines to be rebuilt and to look like new. Kinda like early Corvettes. Then they show them and run them at the county fairs......fun.....I guess.

This is an Allis Chalmers snow track machine one of 291 made in 1944 for duty in WWII in the colder climes. It has a Willys Jeep running gear and there are said to be only 6 in world that are running. A lot of stuff had to be hand made and it was a basket when he got it in. Kinda cool.

His next project is a 76 Corvette Coupe that he bought for 3K and needs a complete rebuild....that will also be interesting...

The Kroger here is called Smiths - still pricy, so are some of the others especially the Ca. chain stores.

We have an "employee owned, bag your own" chain here and the price differences are significant. I'm talking $1 to $2.50 lower in price PER ITEM than the other stors.
It's easy to save $50-$75 per cart load.

Did he have that tracker painted at MAACO?

That is a cool piece. Restoring old farm equiptment is a popular hobby in the rural areas. I can't help but look. They are a nice blast from the past. Even anique cars have their charm. Those are about the only cars mechanically I might be able to work on with confidence. The electronic age messes with my head.

Howdy! Gonna be 89 and muggy today, and 65 tomorrow. Wacky. I imagine with that kind of change, the wind will be howling, too.

Great to hear things are progressing well, Tom! And very cool old tractor, Marcus!

I saw a show on HGTV sometime back about the Spelling house sale - those people definitely live in a different stratosphere.

Have a great day, everybody!

Well, I might get to go. Dishes done, house vacuumed, bathroom cleaned, some dusting done, stuff put away, just three baskets of clothes to fold and sheets in the dryer.

I could zonk out for a half hour, have lunch #2 @ 12 and still be ready to cruise.

I think I will take Ultrawoman to see Battleship tonight...I heard it's pretty good.....got the mowing done and am having a cold N/A.....Remember pop tops and the chains of them around our old apt's.....how about when you had to have a can opener and you always had an extra or two in the car.....now that is going back....

Anyway I saw a beer commercial the other day where they are using some type of opener to put a small opening in the top of the beer can and are amazed how smooth the beer flows out.....it finally all goes back to where it starts....

Had an uneventful day. Icing the knee, keeping it elevated, getting up and walking every hour or so. I did make one advance, but you guys probably don't want to hear what that was...... :-) But it made me feel way more comfortable.
