Good morning, Marcus, all.

Nice temps in Philadelphia, too: 71 right now, going up to 76 with a chance of showers.

Busy week - ramping up for the return of the undergrads next week and getting ready for Corvettes at Carlisle.

Greetings! I should've taken a couple more days off, I was just hitting my stride. We had beautiful weather over the weekend, and the next few days look great as well. I forgot to pop the top on the Vette yesterday, gonna have to do that tonight. My project list must be winding down, since I had time to detail the lawn tractor yesterday - LMAO!

Have a good day, everybody!

Good Morning CGs!

Gotta take care of some work stuff this morning (hate it on my day off) then I'm free for the afternoon. RR #1 will be in school, I think the wife might have some plans for us. My only goal is lunch and a workout

Stopped by Rick's yesterday. He gave me a big mouth air dam he had in the basement. Not sure if it's the 84-89 or 90-96 but I'm gonna try to fit it up later. I know I have to drill a couple holes which is no big deal. Anyone have the instruction sheet from theirs still?

Hope everyone has a great day!

Matthew

Morning guys...sitting in a meeting that's about as boring as ever. Just now was able to get on the Internet. More meetings to come. Cool and partly cloudy this morning and going to be cool.

Ok, got to go. Have a great day.

Hot, humid and 100% humidity off and on at times. Drove the vette in today without the top down. Just too rainy. Otherwise, mornings is the only time to have the top down.

Decadence of course being driving with the top down and the A/C on!!!! That is, when its not coughing up a spark plug boot...the newest enjoyable issue!

supposed to be another hot day today... too many of them.

Normally, my part of the South Bay (Los Angeles) is kept cool by the Pacific Oceans breeze... but not now.

it's already 84... and will go higher... I am hoping to do attic insulation ASAP, and then perhaps central AC next year.

We already have forced hot air heat, so adding AC won't break the bank.

Hey Lady! Stick A Fork In It!

The fork lady is a hero. We need more like her.

Good afternoon.
I spent the morning at an urgent care center. That's a storefront that's not quite an ER but more than a doctors office. The doctors that run it are clients of ours. My wife talked to them last night and they told me I should come in first thing this morning. I have some indicators that pointed to a virus. My blood tests that indicated possible bacterial infection as my white blood cell count was elevated. They ruled out menegitus and strep throat through testing. So I have an "I don't know" virus with other complications. Last night they said I "need" to be seen. The stiff neck with my other issues was an indicator of a possible serious infection. They tested me and gave me the medications I needed to move me forward. I had a blood test, throat swab and test, litre saline I.V., antibiotics, steriod injection, muscle relaxer injection to ease my head ache and neck ache and they recommeded benadryl liquid for my itchy back rash. I went in when I was over the hump. The doctor that worked on me at his clinic also works 3 days a week at the local ER. He told me if I had gone in with my symptoms a couple of days earlier and showed up at the ER they would have had to do a spinal tap. By waiting it out (which was potentially dangerous) I saved myself some agony but my decision was potentially dangerous. I was already showing signs of recoverey. The treatment given is to move me along quickly and more comfortably. I go back tomorrow for another antibiotic injection and follow that up with oral medications till for the next week to 10 days. I know this has got to help me. If nothing else it should work many of the bugs out. I told the docs that their business was perfect for me. I usually don't go to the doctors at first signs of a problem but my issues aren't usually ER serious. They're right in the middle and should work out fine for me with future issues. They said they'd be glad to act as our primary care physicians and handle our medical needs. (They don't do that for everybody). This is very cool because as I mentioned, they can do more than can be done in many general praticioners offices, such as blood work and labs on site. 10 minute turn around plus they'll take my insurance. Effective, fast treatment. That's the way, I like it. unhuh, unhuh That's the way, I like it.

Tommy, hope that does the trick for you.

Wife came up with a new task for me: installing new wallpaper border in rr#2's room. It's cars, trucks, taxis, etc. That's the theme in his room. I measured and told her she didnt buy enough but she didn't care. Started the job and right off the bat a couple rolls were bad, the graphics were printed on the glue side So the room is half done, the wife will pick up more later. Luckily it's from the dollar store so it's cheap and she said they have more (always a risk of running out).

Maybe that's why they sold them at The Dollar Store. Those rolls were worth no more than fiddy cent. You can always use the reversed rolls to trim the windows.

Uhhh....told you it was a virus.....

I was worried it was West Nile Virus which has made a big comeback this year around the country. Not so much out here because it's so dry we haven't even seen a misquito all summer. I had somewhat the same symptoms several weeks ago but it only lasted 2 or three days.

Every year I get bit by ticks and have had tick fever and been treated for it and I don't know if you ever get totally rid of it. Hope you continue to heal up....

Ya, we get our share of moquito born illness. We get the Equine virus, dengue fever and a host of other ilnesses thanks to mosquito bites. Damn the mosquitoes. Full speed ahead!

Speaking of stange stuff. One of my wife's clients is having a crocodile problem. Once they declare turf, they return to it. Even idf you take them 100 miles away, they will return. you can't kill them because they are protected as an endangered species. This one if 8-9 ft long and one of about 500 estimated to be in the south Florida waters. We've seen a number of them through the years annd they are no real threat to humans, but small dogs and cats .... That's another issue. They are going to have to construct a croc detering fence along the mangroves and shoreline of this property. Add that to the list of unusual tasks my wife has been charged with resolving. What a croc!

You can tell a croc from a gator from the snout. Gator wide, croc narrow. We have several million gators now, once a threatened species.

Glad to hear you're on the mend, Tommy! That outfit sounds like a good compromise. Maybe if I ever go to the doctor again I'll see if they have something like that around here.

I celebrate each decade wondering how the hell I made it. Less so now since I treat my body a lot better. I'm not in the best shape but I am far from the worst. As with everything else in my life I'm probably around the 75Th percentile on the good side.
