I'm up, but not very awake at this time. It's cold out this morning, my thermometer says 25 and the wind is blowing again, from the north today. Looks like everything that got blown north yesterday with the big south winds, will all come back today with the strong north winds.

Not a lot planned for the day. Went to church last night. I could go install the doors that I built later today, I'll wait until this afternoon. Probably need to go to the "city" for groceries.

The antibiotics are finally beginning to show signs of working. Feeling stronger every day.

Morning all...

A bit on the chilly side here this morning...44/55 today here in western AZ and time for my cup of joe.

It took two weeks, but I finally got the smog pump back on. The reason it took so long, besides working, was that Autozone sent another core instead of a reman the first week.

Now the hunt is on for a control/diverter valve; the second pulley bolt sheered off and hit the valve breaking the switching valve vacuum connection off....sigh....

Goomornin

One cup down and one to go.

Sat in the jaq last night with the temp set at 102". It always feels good while your in and for the rest of that evening but the next morning .......... I ache more than before I went in. I never understand that.Got a refurbed hard drive for my wife's old computer. I'm gonna install it, fire it up and reload the original software. At least that's what I think I'm gonna do. We'll see how that plays out.Plans are to do that, work a little on the boat, pay the bills and balance the books at home. Not to strenuous a plan. If I get crackin on it I may even get some butt on the sofa time later this afternoon. Knowing me I'll spread it out through the day. Enjoy your day everyone.

Good Morning CGs!

Supposed to get up to 55 today. A lot different than the 70 yesterday when I was hanging Christmas lights. Wife is at church with the kids. I plan on mopping the floors and doing some laundry this morning. Nice when the house is quiet, I can get so much more accomplished.

Hope everyone has a great day!

Matthew

Greetings! Glad to hear you're feeling better, Tom. The nosedive in the temps is starting today, gonna be in the teens overnight. I think we're supposed to bounce back later in the week, though. Meanwhile, I'll be hitting the "Heat" button for the steering wheel.

Have a good day, yawlz!

So much for our nice day here yesterday. Was supposed to be nice here today too and rain tomorrow but now it's due to start pouring late this afternoon and be nice tomorrow. That's backwards. I need to get the leaves done and crap all today. They'll be too wet to do tomorrow. Got junk to do inside also. Need to try to fix my jiggly headlight (on the CAR) and I have a deer quarter I need to get cut up and get some stew started, laundry to fold, vacuuming to do, the truck needs an oil change and bath, the car needs a bath, have a few dishes to wash, geez.. anybody want to be a house husband for a day?? I only have four beers though but I'll cook....

Sorry, VB, I'm taken. But I bet if you asked my wife she'd be happy to get rid of me. I just finished the laundry, vacuuming, mopping the floor, cleaning two bathrooms, dusting, picking up the kids' stuff, cleaning the kitchen, etc. Amazing how much work can get done without little hands helping you. Gonna get in a leg workout then off to the outlaws' house for dinner.

I was doing what you're doing back when I was your age too. Wait a minute! I'm still doing it at my age. Here's the lesson. If you keep doing what your doing it will become expected and unappreciated. Truth is, I do it for myself. I can't stand to live like a pig. I like to eat well too so I learned how to cook. Actually, my mama taught me how to cook. I used to watch her making meals. We couldn't leave the house on Saturday morning till the house was clean. That was a good motivator to get it done. You could just get a couple of birds and give up on housekeeping. Blame the mess on them.

I've been giving some serious thought to "the laundry, vacuuming, mopping the floor, cleaning two bathrooms, dusting, picking up the birds' stuff, cleaning the kitchen, etc."

Serious Thought.

I rather cook than clean. Tonight: San Francisco's Fisherman's Wharf Cioppino

1/4 cup olive oil
1/4 cup butter
1 rib celery, chopped
1 onion, diced
1 can crushed tomatoes (28-oz) Crushed = too thick
2 cups clam juice or fish stock
2 cups white wine
4 cloves crushed garlic
1 lemon, juiced
1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
1 bay leaf
1 teaspoons dried basil
1 teaspoon dried oregano
1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes, or to taste
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 Dungeness crab (about 2-lbs), cracked and cleaned, or 1-lb frozen crabmeat thawed
2 pounds halibut fillet, cut into 1-in slices
24 large prawns, peeled and de-veined
12 mussels
1/2 bunch Italian parsley, chopped

Then you want what is called the air injection control valve. I'll have to look at the parts cd for the number / years. I am not sure on the years. This might be an 84 only from this ad on ebay:
