Good Morning CGs!

So the whiff and I were watching some Dateline (or whatever) tv show last night on the one polygamist sect religion down there in Utah/Arizona area, the FLDS:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fundamen ... rist_of_Latter-Day_Saints

Holy crap what a bunch of weirdos. I mean, there are strange birds out there, but this is a cult. They brainwash these poor people from the time they are born. It's all inbreeding and child abuse. Terrible stuff. They keep the people pretty poor and uneducated so they don't have the resolve or know how to rise up and get out. What a shame. Treat the women like crap. I compare it a bit to the Muslims that want to keep the women stupid and pregnant. Same deal. Hard to believe that stuff goes on in this day and age.

Anyone do anything fun last night? Big plans for today?

Hope everyone has a great day!

Matthew

That sounds like a certain segment of the urban American population that lives in most big cities.

Good Morning!

Today, I am going to do something that will change the world. Maybe I'll alter the course of history. I have a great idea. Right now it's just floating around in the nebula of my mind but if I can get it come to the forefront .......

Have you ever thought about something that nobody else has ever thought about? Think about it!

Morning all....

Nice 80 degree day on tap here today....I heard Larry Hagman died yesterday; I wonder how that will effect the 2nd half of shooting "Dallas" second season?

Going across the lake for breakfast on the Cali side in a few and then back again to finally get my A.I.R. valve installed...this has been a monthlong ordeal

This afternoon is Turkey day for us and we catch up with the rest of the world with our turkey comas...lol

Enjoy the day, wherever you are!

That's an easy one. J.R. dies.

Sand, sand, sand.......at least I'm working with the garage doors open.

I'll put in my usual 4 hour work day then DNBFS.

Drove the C4 up to Virginia City and back yesterday, nice twistys, end up at the casino (who'da thunk it?), added to the TV fund.

The Reverend Stig finds that offensive........nobody has seen it in their heart to send the Rev hookers, drugs and money.

Howdy! I hate it when they delay garbage pickup until Saturday - they always come between 6:30-7AM and harsh my buzz. This means a nap is definitely in my future. Meanwhile, we'll finish decorating the tree, etc. It's a balmy 9 degrees, so I won't be sticking my nose outside anytime soon.

RIP, Mr. Hagman - I always got a kick out of him.

Have a good day, yawlz!

We always put out the trash the night before because of early pick up. We don't have any issues with lions and tigers and bears though. Oh my!

Morning guys....The daughter had a pre-wedding party last night for a few of the friends who came in to town for the wedding. Thank goodness it was a small bunch and they were able to bring their kids, so it didn't get out of hand and the kids were fun.

I always liked Larry in "I Dream of Jeanie". I never watched "Dallas". RIP Larry.

Well, today is the wedding. People rushing around getting their hair and nails done. Me, I'll take my shower later and put my Tux on. just tell me what time to be there.

The weather here took a turn for the cooler yesterday. Today is supposed to be a couple degrees warmer.

I hope every one here has a great Saturday.

Don't be surprised as you traverse the mundane tasks before you today, you end up practicing your falsetto and bravado as you break out into "I DREAM OF JEANNIE WITH THE LIGHT BROWN HAIR"

Note: A shower towel will suffice in place of a plaid kilt.

Hmmmm....lots of interesting topics today.....I have read several books on the Mormon cult and they get pretty sketchy. That's what happens when you have a works based faith that says you have to do this or that to be acceptable to God....the contrast to that is a Grace based faith where you aknowledge Jesus did it all on the cross and you don't have to follow a bunch of bs rules to be acceptable.....Sin is still sin so some moral rules do apply to us all. The Fanatic Muslims or any faith where you must keep trying to work your way to heaven are designed for some men to be able to keep other men and women under their thumbs......

Sorry...I got on a rant there.....I'm not much on mainstream religion.....but I am a Jesus guy....

It's cold here today but will be warming up into next week back in the mid 50's.....I think I will take my bride to the new Bond flick tonight and share a big popcorn and a large diet cola.....anybody seen that movie yet?

There are some interesting college football games on today so will check those out....have a fun day Guru's!

Good morning, all!

Went to our local hardware store to support Small Business Saturday. Picked up some odds and ends we actually need.

I'd be watching football today, but we're (finally) seeing the new Bond movie - my travel and other constraints have delayed this. With that comes a steak dinner and some appropriate drinks.

Last movie I saw in a theater was "Pearl Harbor". My son went to see "Lincoln" the other night - I'd like to see that. He said it was very good, but that we wouldn't be missing anything by watching on DVD.

Speaking of nostalgia and bars, I spent a lot of quarters playing Astroids and Space Invaders in the bars.

I just bought the Atari Flashback, the origional chit.
2 wireless controlers, the old Atari console and 75 of those really bad old games preloaded for $26.

And I bought myself 50 lbs. of glass beads for Xmax.

I just saw that on sale Black Friday for 14 bucks. I have a Sears version of the original with wired consoles, plus Nintendo, Super Nintendo and hundreds of games for them. I have a couple of consoles plus extras for each. I spent a forune at the bar playing Breakout. Sue is a master at Catapilar and Space Invaders.

The vet just left after giving the girls (pigs) a once over and giving them an injection for paracites. Good to have them do both pigs at the same time. I only have to pay for one house call. Still, it cost us a buck and a half. My wife and I will do the next injections in 10 and 20 days. Crap. I just lost $50 of my casino spending money.

Thanks.

I'm not going to do this again, goggles leaked.

But, it's good that I saved some shot glasses.

I haven't had a straight shot of booze in 20+ years but the glasses make good eyeball washers.
