Good Morning CGs!

Well, more rain in store for us today. All day long. Certainly can't help the saturated ground but we will deal with it. I think by Sunday it is supposed to warm up and be nice.

Last night I spent some time on the stair treads doing the cleaner/rejuvenator treatment. I did every other step so I could compare them (and be able to walk up the stairs while it dried). Overall it has a better gloss and sheen. It did an ok job of hiding the very minor scratches, but nothing for any big ones. That's not what it is for, though. There is a scratch remover that I saw online that might work for that. I'll wait to see what the wife says. Bottle says up to three applications, so might do it twice and check the results. Let's hope this means no sanding.

Hope everyone has a great day!

Matthew

Good morning guys.....Well, our 90% chance for moisture turned out to be little more than a dusting of snow. The wind died down about 3am. Seems wrong that Matt, Brad and others are complaining about too much moisture and here I am complaining about no moisture. You guys have had more moisture in the last month than we've had in a year or more.

In the twenties here and cloudy and.....you know the rest...I had them hide the ax's....but I know where a hatchet is...

I can't remember a more drawn out cold spring. I'm sure we have had them but this is ridiculas....everyone is crabby and pissy because they know the work should be going on....but on the other hand there is nothing we can do about it except bitch...so I will quit now and try to concentrate on some fun things...

I did order some C-Magic from the NCM to try. When maybe in June when the weather is nice I will clay bar and use the C-Magic wax on it. Probably no better then the Mequires wax but thought I would try something different and had heard some rave reveiws about it...

Gotta go see what the day has and am determined to enjoy it......

Türü medjü!

It looks like a Currier & Ives postcard out there - a thick, pristine blanket of snow covering rooftops, trees, lawns and roads. A beautiful sight. In December. In mid-April, not so much. If this isn't the end of it, archaeologists will likely find my carcass in a snowbank with the word "Corvette" carved into it.

Keep warm and dry, Gurus!

GOod morning gang.

Hey Teebeee we finally came out of our drought from last yr so understand how ya feel.

Like Matt we got a little rain last night and more for today.
I do see more sanding in Matt's future though.

Like the guys in the north of us we are cool here for the spring but not like that. Hope it warms up quick.

Word of the DayTuesday, April 23, 2013

gander\ GAN-der \, noun;

1.Slang. a look: Take a gander at his new shoes.

2.the male of the goose. Compare goose (def. 2).

Origin:

Gander came to English from the Proto-Indo-European word for "goose" or perhaps another type of water bird. The first noun sense of gander , used as early as the year 1000, meant "a male goose," and later senses related metaphorically to the movement of a goose. While the verb form of gander meaning "to look" entered English in late 1600s, the noun form meaning "a look" didn't enter English until the early 1900s.

Day 2 of my week off so I guess it is time for DNBFS.

Albert Craig

Crash, it didn't look too good on the new one front. I had no idea how much those little buggers are worth.

Our drought goes back to 2005, really. Just amplified in the last two years.

That fish is ugly as hell, is that thing real?
Been beautiful spring weather here all weekend, rain due today and the next day here though, then supposed to be spring again this weekend. I got the car and truck both cleaned, house cleaned, yard straightened up, fridge out on deck cleaned up, uncovered, plugged in and stocked up, flowers and crap planted (hope they all live), even went fishing Sunday for about three hours. Ran some errands yesterday, and went to visit with my cousin in the nursing home for awhile and took her a burger from the place there in town she likes. Work today with nothing to work on. Good enough I suppose - I'm worn out...
Have a good Tuesday you all.

Marcus, I've never used it. I'm kind of an Adams guy. Tried Zaino and like Zaino, but they didn't have the paint correction stuff like Adams. so I've gradually converted to Adams.

HH, just rubs me wrong. His personality is like 60 grit sandpaper. Very intelligent and knowledgeable, but abrasive as h3ll. I take everything he says with a pound of salt. I get the feeling, sometimes, that he's on Goodyear, C-Magic and Odyssey Battery payrolls. When he starts on those items he sounds like a freaking commercial. They might be good products, but his method of delivery sucks, which makes me just want to ignore what he says.

Fixt.

I look at the ages of the deceased. When I see 97 or 87 I think they lived a good life. 75-79 They did pretty well. Less than that and I start thinking how close I'm getting to the magic number. Of course I could be dead tomorrow but the game I play with my mind is ....... 72 ... I can do that .... 75, I can do that ...... 78, I think I can do that ...... It's really one day at a time. That's how you get old. One day at a time .....

We've had locals dropping like flies also. does make me feel old as some of them have been my classmates and some happened in their twenties and thirties.
Speaking of feeling old... I was on the phone the other day while driving and yelling at the bat in front of me poke assing slowly - I said to my friend on the phone "must be some 45 or 50 year-old lady who can't drive too old to go any faster" or something to that effect. My friend on the phone was quiet a second then said "wel.... just how old are you about to be?"... put me in check real quick as I'll be 29 next month. Dang time flies....
