Another month has comes to a close as me start the countdown to Christmas. [jk] Limited sun predicted here today. A 70% chance of rain they said. You's never know it by looking outside. But there is still plenty of day left for the weather prediction to come true. Sunday is wifey day. She had some places she wanted to go and I'm gonna tag along like a disinterested 5 year old walking in a daze. Can't complain too much. Afterall, I signed up for this ........

Sun.....Sun,sun,sun.

Temps at the racetrack are supposed to be up 2 degrees....to 105, yippie skippy.

Oh well, a day at the track is better N a,,,,,,tax audit.

The 92 was running 280 oil temps yesterday even with short shifting at 4,500, Still fast enough to blow off a Carrera and a C6,

Hopefully no female riders today, it's distracting at speed.

Must have been something wrong with the C6....just saying...

Mowed yesterday and worked in the office. Last night took the top off the GS and me and Uwoman cruised around and stopped at some friends and chatted it up for a bit...then more cruising...perfect evening....

Today take the plastic racer into church and then home for big naps and some NA's on the deck.....ahhh the good life!

Hope you have a great relaxing day also Guru's...

It's cooler here in Reno than it was at the racetrack.
..
..
It's only 102 here at 5 p.m.

But that's 5 degrees cooler than it was at the track.

Nice forecast====

Mon. 105
Tues. 105
Wed. 102
Thurs. 100

This comes under "Things That Suck"

Made it back from South Dakota - I'll take a 6-hour road trip anytime over a flight. We had a good time at the family reunion - I didn't get an official head count, but I'd guess there were around 250 folks there. My mother-in-law is the matriarch of her family - the last survivor of 14 children. She danced on the table last night, as she always has - she'll turn 80 this month.

I was pretty much worthless today... finished a side job early this morning. That is after I'd only slept two and a half ours. Got in at 4 after being at a person's house with others watching them be stupidly horrible at karaoke. got up at 6:45. Started on my Miller time about way too early. Ran an errand, dropped off the jump drive at the office, then hit the sunbed, then put a check in the bank, then came home and proceeded with Miller time in the pool. Took a nap, then got out of my pool and went to a friends' and got in theirs. Bud light time. Then came back home and have made dinner - shredded chicken with creamy vodka sauce, twisty egg noodles, green onions, Italian seasoned diced tomatoes, shreeded cheese on top. That's it. Been a good day, tater.....

Well, we made it home this afternoon. 14 days out on the road, it's good to be home. We spent the night with the guy that was our best man...and his wife and youngest daughter. WEnt to church, had a very nice supper, chatted a while and then went to bed. I slept like a log. Woke up this morning about 7 got around and hes wife made a nice breakfast and we were off to downtown Denver to visit Rosie's brothers wife. Brother was out at a lake fishing. They live on the 29th floor in an apartment building with some pretty fantastic views. She showed us around as we had not been to this place (very nice, but not for me).

We jumped in the car and headed east. A little over five hours later we are home. Another two hours after that, I have the car unloaded, bags unpacked and the Corvette washed and checked over for road rash from the trip. The front passenger side splash guard received some damage at one point. We ran over a chunk of trash in the road somewhere along the way....I remember hitting it, but don't remember where. I'll have to figure out what to do about it one of these days. Other than that, she faired pretty well.

We drove a total of 3775 miles averaged 27 mpg, drove through 9 states, Kansas, Oklahoma, New Mexico, Arizona, Nevada, California, (Nevada again), Utah, Wyoming, Colorado and back to Kansas. We went through multiple National Forests, visited four National parks (Grand Canyon, Sequoia, Yosemite and Bonneville Salt Flats). Saw some outstanding scenery (besides the Natl Parks)Death Valley, Lake Tahoe, Squaw Valley, Virginia City, the Salt Flats and the Great Salt Lake. Spent time with family members I had not seen in 45 years and others longer than that.

But with all that, it's good to be home. Rosie and I are already talking about another trip west. This time hitting Teton, Yellowstone and Glacier parks on our way to visit family in Oregon and Washington.

Rosie says she's in visual overload from all the grand sites that we saw and visited. It will take a long time to process this trip.

Marcus, Bill has documented the 67 pretty well. When he finishes it, it will be an outstanding example of the mid-years. His workmanship is without equal. He is extremely particular about how things are done. If it isn't right, he makes it right.

Spent the whole morning/afternoon downtown Chicago taking the kids around. We had a nice time. Ever wonder how long you can spend with you wife and kids doing family activities before you get angry and start yelling? Hint, it's about 7 hours....

Glad you made it home safe, TB.
