It's my long weekend. Woke up to a cool morning temp in the 40's. It should be nice but cool with highs in the upper 60's low 70's. Not much going on today. Have the staff working on plans and building ramps for the '96 to drive up on for oil changes. Tired of waiting for the shop I use to make time to do this.

Looks like it is going to be a rather quiet day at work today. That is a good thing for today.
Now, once I get home, that is a whole 'nother story. Lots of chores to get done over the next few days. Have a lucky Friday 13th. |

Crapilstilskins. I painted a bench the other day and stayed well away from the 91. Still I managed to get some white overspay dust on the hood and windsheild. I thought the layer of dust and grime would have offered sonme protection too but I thought wrong. Clean up suggestions? BillH did something like that recently . I'll have to search back a little. I washed the 91. At least it looks pretty. Sue had one of her childhood friends spend the night. Whole lot of chatting going on. Going to ride up to Hollywood (FL) with Sue to drop her friend off and keep my wife company on the ride back. It was suggested I join her. You married guys know how that is. Well, I have stuff to do so it's up, up and away .......... |

My suggestion on the paint Tommy is to watch every Junkman video he ever made on working on your cars paint. You will be so tired after that you will just put it off until you rest up.......then take it to the body shop and have them buff it out......

Greetings! I managed to get through all the class material, which was a relief. Now in a little while I can kick back for the rest of the day and focus on:
1). Take a nap 2). Going to dinner and then the Tommy Emmanuel concert tonight Tommy, maybe try a clay bar first to see if that will remove the overspray. Have a good rest of your day, Gurus! |

OH YEAH, IT'S GOT TO BE THE DATE AT FAULT! FLEW THE BUMBLE BEE TO OKC THIS MORNING TO HAVE LUNCH WITH "THE OLD GANG" FROM WORK. THAT '96 IS JUST A VERY GOOD ROAD CAR WITH THE BILSTEINS ON, WHEN I GET THE NEW SWAYBARS ON IT SHOULD BE JUST RIGHT. TWO AND A HALF HOUR DRIVE, ABOUT 80 DEGREES, CAR RAN ABOUT 185 ON THE HIGHWAY. DIDN'T MISS A LICK. GOT TO CRABTOWN EARLY, GOT A GOOD PARKING SPOT RIGHT IN FRONT. NO BODY THERE YET. HAD A DRINK WHILE I WAITED. AND WAITED. AND WAITED. NOBODY SHOWED; SHOULD I CALL SOMEBODY? THEN I NOTICED THE DATE ON THE BAR TAB: 13 SEPT. THE LUNCH IS ON 20 SEPTEMBER. DAMN! OF ALL THE THINGS I'VE LOST, I MISS MY MIND THE MOST. THE MEMORY REALLY IS THE SECOND THING TO GO. ATE MY CRAWFISH ENTOFFLE IN SOLITARY SPLENDOR AND STARTED HOME TO FT GIBSON. THEN IT RAINED ON MY CLEAN CAR, JUST TO AD INSULT. |

Hey guys.....I composed a response this afternoon, but apparently I never hit the "Submit" button. DUH! Just got home from our first home football game. The defending 2A state champs, we played the first half like we were afraid of them. The second half we played pretty well, but we had dug a pretty deep hole to climb out of. Ended up 40-13.
Kids were pretty calm considering it was home football game and Friday. Homecoming next week, so I'll be busy with float decorating. Delivering the cabinet I was modifying tomorrow, then start on the kitchen cabinets I bid on and got the job. So I have a full weekend. |

Just got home from the Tommy Emmanuel concert - great little venue, holds a little over 1,000. He was fantastic as always - I'd highly recommend going if he's ever in your neck of the woods. Just a joy to watch him play.
