What do you guys think of these stripes?
The April issue of Corvette Enthusiast did an article on CorvetteStripes.com. I just went to this guys site and he has some pretty cool stripes for around $200

This one below I photochopped (poorly) to extend the stripe a bit. what do you think?

I know you either love stripes or you hate 'em.

I want to do it in these colors though

If I had to pick one I think it would be the first. I don't really know if I like or not though. I look one minute and I do, then I look again and I don't .

I like the idea of two stripes with runners. Like a '70 Chevelle. But if I ever put stripes like that on a Vette, I would probably run them all the way off the car, like the GS does.

Unfortunately, that would be a PITA with a sticker.

So what you've got there is cool enough. Although the high angle of the Red car makes the rear deck stripes look way too small. Or maybe they are supposed to be tapered, like the front. I would not taper them. I would leave them full width on the rear deck.

And again, if you are going to do a sticker, I would not bring it all the way down to the emblem. The spacing around the logo makes it too obvious that its a sticker.

JMHO.

He has a set already for the C4 that goes down the bumper like the GS too. I actually thought that would look better too. We emailed back and forth last night and we are going to create a custom C4 stripe, kind of a hybrid of the GS but split. I'm still trying to figure the angle of the front edge of the stripe relative to the hood that will look the best. I'd like it to be wider in the front something like the old LT-1 hood stripe of the early 70s

I like the 1st better than the 2nd but it's something else you have to maintain.

Yeh,, there is that too. But I figure if it gets bad you can remove it and redo it since the file is saved and can be cut again easily.

Have you ever seen a pic of a reverse GS? White car, blue center stripe, with red hash marks.

If I ever got a white C4, I would do that in a heartbeat. Looks great to me!

Don't like either, but I like the GS style stripes. They look like C5 wannabe stripes.

Personally I'm not a big fan of most cosmetic mods. But that's just my taste. These aren't bad, and I certainly wouldn't give any shit to someone who has them and likes them. If I thought they were tasteless or tacky though and you asked, believe me, I'd tell ya'!

That looks nice and I have thought about the reverse GS stripe, but I favor the split GT looking stripe. My whole reason for wanting to do this, is that I'm hoping that within a month or two I will be bringing my car out of the garage with a nice running motor with some added extra HP and punch, and I'd like to give it a bit more attitude on the looks side too! I have always liked the stripe. "MinnesotaWhite" from CF has; a black skunk stripe on his white coupe. It looks great. I only would want it in Torch Red. I think the torch red stripe complements the torch red interior as well. I also would like to put the black GS wheels on it with 315s in the rear and lower it a pinch too. I guess it is my "Waxer" side showing through my greasy fingernails!!!

WrenchmanT,

Nice Ride - Cool stripes. I might have gone for those, had I seen them sooner. I went for the shorter length with the wider outline stripe.

Will post photos when completed

What kind of wheels you got there? They are nice looking.
