Right now, nothing. At work, usually bluegrass or a radio station that plays an eclectic blend of great music of many genres that you'll never hear on any mainstream stations.

I'm going to the Detroit show in June.

But in general, my tastes are much harder, Tool, Static-X, Ministry, etc.

Although my second most frequented genre is classic rock, Zeppelin, Steely Dan and Dire Straights type stuff. I love a real guitarist as opposed to the 3 chord wizards of today.

All Right! I've been wanting to see these guys for a long time. I play the drums and Neal Pert's one of the best.

Currently in the CD changer in the C4:

Led Zepplin - The Early Years
Led Zepplin - The Later Years
Eagles
Joe Satriani - Surfin with the Alian
Rush
Bella Flack & the Flacktones ( just to throw in something strange and mellow)

I remember the old chants - Nineteen Seventy Eight is GREAT!

I missed the whole 90s pop music thing. I think I was a NASCAR junkie and into Country Music ( Alan Jackson Tobi Keith, et al,.)

2000s who knows - I'm still listening to 30 year old songs.

Anybody remember when Metallica didn't suck?

I like pretty much anything. From Pantera to The Carpenters. Not really into country or reggae. And while I do like some "old school" rap, it has been an acquired taste. I did not like it in the '80s, but I can enjoy it now. Run DMC, L.L. Cool J, and what have you.

But I will say that I have one VERY guilty pleasure... West Side Connection. Gangster Rap featuring Ice Cube. The language makes me cringe sometimes, but I really like the way it sounds, and it is well produced.

Favorites? Dio, Scorpions, Rush, Steely Dan, Boz Scaggs, SRV, Satriani, Alice in Chains, Dokken, Ratt (all that 80's hair band stuff).

And I just learned about Apocolyptica and Leningrad Cowboys yesterday, so I'm gonna try to find some of that.

I simply LOVE music!

Yea, I remember Tommy and seeing Sabbath in concert a long time ago.

Put some Satriani on your ipod and go out on the track.

I've been a fan of Zep since their first album came out. Dire Straights has impressed me a lot over the years too.
But Steely Dan is my favorite rock/pop, rock/jazz, crossover or whatever band of all time. Never a weak album, bad song or even so much as a misplaced note, IMO.

Deep Purple is one of the most under-rated, yet well known bands of all time. So much talent came and went there back in their hey-day. My favorite is Tommy Bolin whose brief solo career showed so much promise. But he became just another casualty of drugs. So sad. Also a big fan of "The Boss" up through his fifth album, The River. A girlfriend turned me on to the Eurythmics back in the early 80s. I'm still a fan. James Brown was one of my older brother's favorites back when we were kids. His stuff just blew me away. I've heard everything the Stones ever did from day one. (Yes, I'm old) I've got most everything they ever recorded up through the mid 70s. After that, they really got lame though, IMO.

Yet another "Dan" fan heard from.
Rap ain't never happened for me though and it never will. It sucks in every way, shape and form. It doesn't appeal to me on any level. How anyone can listen to it, I'll never understand. I'd rather take a beating than listen to one track of it.
