Dang, the year is flying. Looks like it will be Thanksgiving again before we know it. If you guys blink summer will have flown by and it will be time to put your cars up for winter storage again.

Trying to paint the front spindles yesterday, I dumped a can of orange paint on the shop floor and a good pair of sneakers.

I'll see what C2 adventures I can get into today.

Taking the race car engine block to the machine shop tomorrow.

Howdy! Yes, with a little luck, it'll only be another 2.5 months before the Vette comes home from storage, and 3.5 before there's any yardwork. Meanwhile, my luck ran out - I have to show up Monday afternoon for jury duty.

I Leave at 06:00 to get there by 07:30 so I can have a cup o'joe before the fun begins. They have weaseled me in the past to give up my $15 jury pay to leave at 02:30. I leave every time on that option. I can't get out of there fast enough. The traffic in Miami after 03:00 PM is an atrocity.

I've always wanted one for small jobs I don't want/need to haul an air compressor to. They had these on the clearance rack, for $114, sounded like a pretty good deal. Get home and do a search for reviews and find they sell for $208-250....good deal for me. Picked up some clearance sheets of plywood on the cheap too. Don't have a specific project for them yet, but light damage on the sheets made them a good deal that I can use down the road.

Daughter and grandson's will be over a little later to celebrate oldest grandson's 18th birthday...I guess it will actually a double as my bday is tomorrow.

I know there a a few of us here at the Guru that turn 60 this year, I think I'm the first for the year. And then there are those here that passed that mark sometime back.

A LONG GRAY DAY IN THE NATIONS, THE PREDICTED ICE DID NOT MATERIALIZE. THAT'S ALL TO THE GOOD. ABOVE FREEZING BUT STILL RATHER COOL. TIME FOR A PRE-SUPPER NAP.

Hey guys. Slept in and then did some work around the house. Mounted a plate bracket on my mom's car and then took down the Xmas lights (about 30* today). After that we took the kids to the movies and just got done shoveling the driveway and playing with the kids outside. Time for dinner.
