Well, the corvette is finally back in its own garage. I walked across town last night and picked it up. The walk was about an hour and 10 minutes, I fully expected to be stiff and sore this morning but I feel pretty good.

Of course there was some excitement involved. When I left after picking the car up, I forgot to close the driveway gate. Got a call from the little blind woman. She had left the guide dog out to do what he had to do and he hadn't come back in yet. OH SHIT ! Blasted across town, grabbed a leash and started the search. Got about 4 or 5 houses down the street and she called to say he was back. I went in the house and he was running laps in the living room. Sat down and he planted himself between my knees, rolled his head back and looked at me with a "Did I screw up ?" look. No, buddy you didn't, I did.

All is back to "normal" today.

Howdy! I took he day off and started it by sleeping in. There is a honey-do list to be tackled, so I'd better get a round tuit.

Have a good one, Gurus!

CLOUDY,WINDY, AND COOL IN THE NATIONS THIS MORNING. TEMP HAS BEEN FALLING SINCE I GOT UP. 80'S YESTERDAY, 60'S TODAY, 68 ON THE FRONT PORCH; NORTH WIND MAKES IT FEEL COLDER. THE CHEROKEES ARE REVERTING TO LONG SLEEVES.

THE FORCES OF POLITICAL CORRECTATUDE ARE TERRIBLY OFFENDED; COLLEGE STUDENTS ARE BLASPHEMING THE SACRED MINORITY AND HAVING HETEROSEXUAL RELATIONS.

"Oops! Did I roll my eyes out loud?"

I'm starting to make a dent in my chores - cleaning windows, mirrors, pictures and TV screens was first on the list. I bought a bunch of these some years back, they work well:

Well the kids took off for Seattle at 9:30 last night. They are in Rock Springs Wyoming right now resting up a bit. From Cheyenne to Rock Springs the roads were ice and the temp was around 13 degrees....they were doing between 30 and 45 mph for most of the way.....Welcome to Springtime in the Rockies....The Jeep is doing great so far and pulling the 6x12 U Haul like a trooper. The adventure continues....

Here it is colder but the work goes on.....let us rejoice Guru's.....

GMCG's

Made a valiant effort to sleep till noon but only made it to 11:30. A 05:30 AM lay down time probably assisted in that effort. Nothing on the agenda except eat, drink, gamble and be entertained. Wifey started some $#!+ with me already today. She just doesn't get it. DON"T POKE THE BEAR. I generally don't f with anybody that doesn't mess with me first. Then she wonders how I can be such an asshole. The rules are f'n simple. LET SLEEPING DOGS LIE. Don't start something unless your ready to finish. I play to the finish. Remember, husbands never win so I have nothing to lose in losing. I lose with hard pressed dignity. One day she might learn but I truly doubt it. Until the next transgression, I'm ready.

I've been doing some evaluation of the twenty something year old ladies on this vessel, particularly the ones with the soft, supple skin that amply fills the material in today's modern bathing suit. I have plenty of talent to evaluate. Just a few moments ago I happened to look in the mirror and noticed my facial skin is showing what years of exposure to the natural elements can do. Drier, wrinkled age spotted skin and a beard filling with grey replaces features on a face I once knew as my own. It is what it is .............

Hey guys...been a busy day already and I'm not at school. Computer work all morning, then stop, clean up and go to Good Friday services where I read the Passion.

This afternoon I'm going to some of my most favorite things.....f*#king plumbing. I've put it off for as long as I can, it's got to be done.

Started off here cold, cloudy and windy. It has warmed a bit and the wind went down some and the sun has found it's way out of the clouds.

Went to the toy store, a.k.a. Harbor Freight at lunch and picked up a 1/2 inch drive torque wrebch for $21.99. Looks to be a pretty solid piece. Hope to get years of service from it.

Ken, they are supposed to be 11.99....dang you probably didn't have a coupon. I've got two HF torque wrenches, they are pretty accurate.

Tommy...could you fit any more cliches in that post? Maybe if you pulled yourself up by your bootstraps. Or thought outside the box. But at the end of the day, it is what it is.
