Good Morning CGs!

Apparently they are predicting some solid thunderstorms even though the sky looks clear and pleasant right now. I will be driving the wagon to work instead of the Vette. I want to flush the PS system again, I think I got some water in it while doing the engine degreasing. I never noticed the vent hole on top of the cap....well, there is one. I don't know how much water got in, but the fluid doesn't have the right color if you ask me. Cheap to change it, it will be done.

Hope everyone has a great day!

Matthew

It's an on going battle when you live on an acreage.....I noticed that we must go weed the Iris beds and mow the vineyard. I did get the rest of it mowed yesterday and the place is lush.

Today is beautiful and we will be headed into church in the GS soon after we have breakfast out on the deck. We just have not had the weather to enjoy being outside much this spring.

Lost a T10 bit while working on changing out the air cleaners the other day and its driving my nuts.....it was right there and then it wasn't.....I looked all over but cannot find it anywhere.......I even took the air intake assembly off to make sure it did not get in that somehow......oh well.......

Have a great day off Guru's......

Sue wants the master bath toilet and sink replaced and some insets put in the walls to store shampoo and soap in the shower. Thankfully I didn't get the job. Went to an auction last night and bought some more of life's essentials. Our house is overflowing with stuff we couldn't live without. Did pick up a 3 ton jack, jack stands, creeper and a few other garage implements at a fair price. Lots of the rest of the stuff is far less glamorous. Vintage stuff, lamps and this and that. Our lighting collection could soon overtake our seating collection.

Morning guys...slept in a bit, then Rosie made a big breakfast. I've been sitting here catching up on the TV shows I recorded, Car Crazy, Gears, How it's Made:Dream Cars and The Woodwrights's Shop. Going out to wash the pickup as soon as I'm done there.

Going to be warm again today.

Hidey-ho! I got in a good practice session in my quest to be the Tri-State Sleep-In Champion. Some more yard work is on the agenda, but at a more relaxed pace than yesterday. We had quite a gully-washer overnight, but the sun is shining now.

Good to read ya, Rich! And a lot of old familiar names on that list, Bill - should be a run race!

Have a good day, Gurus!

THE POISON IVY TOOK A HIT; MASSIVE "ROUNDUP" STRIKE. NO PRISONERS.

ALSO HAD TO CARRY OUT THE FIRST SQUIRREL EXECUTION OF THE YEAR. AS LONG AS THEY POLICE UP WHAT FALLS ON THE GROUND THEY ARE SAFE. IF I CATCH ONE ON THE BIRD FEEDER I SHOOT HIM. HAVE TO KILL ONE OR TWO EVERY YEAR. AFTER THAT THE WORD SEEMS TO GET AROUND AND THEY STAY OUT OF TROUBLE.

WHICH ALL GOES TO SHOW THAT THE AVERAGE CHEROKEE NATION GRAY SQUIRREL IS SMARTER THAN THE AVERAGE OBAMA VOTER.

Ring .......... Ring ............

Yup, even on Sunday ........

Put up some solar outdoor lights on a half dozen trees. Entertained a continuing line of visitors that stopped by this morning. Time to get back to the chore list. The mind and body say nap. I know that today I can't afford that luxury. Cruise in a week ....... Lots to do in the meantime. Vacation prep is a killer. Really it's just making sure I get all my chores done. Have to pick more pavers tomorrow then that'll be done. Mom is coming in on the 10th. She's cruising with us next week. Have a sniper on call to watch over things while we're gone plus sonny-boy will be here to keep an extra eye on things. The secretary will fill in on the animal care. Looks like we have an adequate gambling budget. Things are looking good.

HOW RETIREES PASS THE TIME:

The other day I went over to a nearby CVS Pharmacy. When I got there, I went straight
to the back of the store to where the Pharmacists’ Counter is located. I took out my
little brown bottle along with a teaspoon and laid them both onto the counter.

The pharmacist came over smiled and asked if he could help me.

I said, "Yes! Could you please taste this for me?"
Being I'm a senior citizen, I guess the Pharmacist just went along with me.

He picked up the spoon and put a tiny bit of the liquid on his tongue and swilled it around. Then with a stomach-churning look on his face he spit it out on the floor and began coughing.

When he finally was finished, I looked him right in the eye and asked, “Now, does that taste sweet to you?"

The pharmacist, shaking his head back and forth with a venomous look in his eyes yelled, “HELL NO!!!"

So I said, "Oh thank God! That's a real relief!" "My doctor told me to get a pharmacist to test my urine for sugar!"

Well, I can never go back to that CVS, but I really don't care though, because; they aren’t very friendly there anyway!!!
