And away we go .............

Here is a link to last years winners of the show I'm going to in December. I'm sure it's like any car/boat/airplane show with plenty of stuffy people sitting under umbrellas and tents only they probably have more pomp and bigger umbrellas. These folks are mostly in the big leagues but many are just plain old good people ......

I have work lined up for days ..... weeks ...... Just when I get just about caught up someone else in this household finds new and creative ways to keep me busy. It's taking time away from the really important stuff, like DNBFS. Looks like I'll stay busy till my next scheduled escape in August. What sucks is it's summer in South Florida but most of us get to experience the heat of summer. Even you people that have a dry heat ........

Now that's a show......I love the old DC-3....flew on many of those when they were the staple of the Airline industry....very cool......

Plumbers are finishing up around here this morning....I will say that the water pressure was better for the morning shower without the up and down pressure that a pump system gives you. So far so good.....

Heading into Lincoln to look at end tables today....oh joy.....

Be sensible today Guru's.......

In passing ... My personal information has been compromised for the third time. I think Sue's has been compromised twice with hacked or stolen information from data bases. Fortunately no credit cards have been opened in our name. I get another year of free monitoring service thanks to the OPM information compromise. I'm sure this is yet another area that due diligence is in order. I hate having to constantly keep an eye on stuff but these are the times in which we live. Maybe the government can plant information mines that will blow up the servers diverting information. HHhmmmm, if I can think of it they probably already have it ..........

Hidey-ho! Been busy, had to hop on a conference call even though I'm on vacation, and also ordered up some landscape rock to be delivered (boy, that will be fun) and a few other chores. Getting ready to head to the golf tournament in a bit.

Have a good one, yawlz!

Marcus, I'm a sucker for a good ol Duesenberg. Don't know why. Maybe because Minnesota Fats had one. He said he was driving Duesenbergs when Willie Mosconi was just staring or something like that.

Drove the Vette to work. Had some heavy t-storms on the way home. A good way to remind you to buy new wiper blades.

RainX glass cleaner works great. Cleans and leaves a coat of RainX behind.

Hey guys...I actually turned the alarm off when it went off this morning and slept in. Then just messed around for a while. Helped install some cabinets with a former student (that I said I wouldn't help him do). Worked in the shop a while this afternoon. Then about supper time former student calls and needs some help setting the countertop, so I go back up to help him do that.

On the way home Rosie tells me that the guy I'm building the kitchen for had trouble with his pickup and that he couldn't get anyone to look at it until next week. She had told him that I had a "tool to read the computer". So I went down to see him when I got home and grabbed my scantool. It's a 94 Silverado and found out it would crank but no spark. He said someone told him to to put a new coil on it so he did that. I said, "I'll bet it's the spark module on the distributor." And he tells me that about a 1000 miles back they put in a rebuilt distributor when they replaced the head gaskets. He said, I have that piece yet, so he went to the garage and sure enough, he's got the old module along with nre cap and rotor. I swap out the module and have him test it. It fires right up. So I tell him "let's put the new rotor and cap on". Once we have that done it's purring like a kitten again. I told him those pieces were a known issue and that there are guys who carry an extra one with them. He was so tickled that I got his truck running again. They bought the truck new and have 166k on it. It's a neat truck.

Not nearly as hot today and supposed to be in the 80's again tomorrow.
