I thought I was getting around late. Slept in 'til 8 then did the three S's got my vitamins together for the next four weeks, made coffee and breakfast and still the first one around?

A few things on the agenda today. Better get started with them.

Good Morning CGs!

Man it is cold out there. Chilling to the bone type of cold. I think it was 4-5* overnight. We had to break out the big heavy down comforter. Just sitting by the window gives you the chills.

Did some more shopping yesterday at Menard's and HD. Picked out a different color grout that had a matching caulk (almost identical to the original color). Also got a new faucet, new light, tp holder and towel bar. This "little" project just turned into a minor remodel. Toilet is staying...as of today...lol. Also picked up a gallon of paint to finish things off. It is a khaki/tan color to match the earth tones.

We also purchased 450 sq ft of prefinished oak hardwood flooring. We're doing both of the kids' rooms this year. Maybe next month. Our room will wait until next year. We talked about the cost of new carpet and decided to to hardwood to match the rest of the house. I hate the job but it will be nice once done.

Also bought a new printer yesterday since the old one died. It was cheap at Sam's Club, but still. I think my wallet is ready to cry.

Hope everyone has a great day!

Matthew

COLD AND SEMI SUNNY IN THE NATIONS THIS MORNING. THE CHEROKEES ARE WAITING FOR THE PROMISED WARM-UP.

TOOK THE TOMATO IN TO HAVE THE CHRISTMAS GIFT GOODIES INSTALLED. I FOUND THE BARN DOOR FROZEN SHUT :-0 MAIN FORCE AND PROFANITY RESOLVED THAT PROBLEM. THEN I DISCOVERED A DEAD MOUSE IN THE TRAP I LEAVE IN THE CAR IT'S IN THE BARN. DEAD MICE ARE A NON-PROBLEM BUT IT MAKES YOU WONDER---

MATT I THINK WOOD FLOORS ARE A GOOD CHOICE. WE HAVE THEM EVERY WHERE BUT THE MASTER BEDROOM. DARLING WIFE WANTED SOMETHING WARM AND FUZZY TO STEP ON WHEN SHE GETS OUT OF BEAD. I SUGGESTED THE CAT, BUT THAT WAS NOT DEEMED SATISFACTORY. STAY AWAY FROM PINE THOUGH, IT MARS FAR TO EASILY.

IT LOOKS LIKE THE TWO PARTY SYSTEM IN 2016 IS THE PERMANENT POLITICAL CLASS VS DONALD TRUMP.

"The Budget should be balanced, the Treasury should be refilled, public debt should be reduced, the arrogance of officialdom should be tempered and controlled, and the assistance to foreign lands should be curtailed, lest Rome will become bankrupt. People must again learn to work
instead of living on public assistance." - Cicero, 55 BC

Got the grout done today. It really makes the wall look finished. Paint is next, then fixtures, etc.

I am getting to the age where if I buy something, it'll probably be the last one, so may as well make it a good one.

Meanwhile, I thought I was getting better, but this evening I feel worse than I have since Friday. So time to break out the antibiotics. I think they're best when taken with hot brandy.

Hey guys, worked in the shop most of the day. Nice choice on the floors, Matt. The tile looks great too. I bet that's warm, Brad. Dead mice are the best type, Gris.

Was never a big David Bowie fan, but he was very talented.

Turned out to be a pretty nice day here and should be through the end of the week, before the deep freeze returns.

Tomorrow I go north to a funeral, did't know the guy very well, but he belonged to our men's group and we are making a showing there.

Tomorrow marks the beginning of my 61st trip around the sun. Funny, I don't feel any older.
