Good Morning CGs!

I finished disassembling the starter last night and I got the plunger and the contacts sanded down pretty smooth. I reinstalled those and buttoned everything up. So that part is done. Next I started disassembling the motor mounts and getting them ready to rebuild. I made it to the primer stage and then left it to dry. I might paint today and then reassemble tomorrow.

Guess what I did? I was walking outside yesterday and I stepped on some snow -- as it turns out the snow was covering a sheet of ice. I fell, my foot/ankle went up, my knee went sideways, and the whole leg went backwards and I fell on it Probably funny to watch, not so funny to do. I did go to the doctor, who was pretty good. He said it's just a sprain, most likely a strained ligament. Rest and ice with ibuprofen at first, then I can do some light exercise to help it loosen up and heal faster. Interesting part about the exercise. I'll be ok in a few days.

Hope everyone has a great day!

Matthew

Morning guys...slept good and slept in 'til 8:30. Not a lot planned today either. A bitty basketball game with #4 GS. Looks cold outside, guessing it is.

You got off easy there, Matt. I'm glad for that.

Be careful out there, guys. Have a great day.

If you get pulled over for speeding, just tell him you're in a hurry because you're running out of time

I hope it heals quick, Matt.

Blizzard status: we still have power and there's about a foot of drifting snow on the ground. It's supposed to continue snowing until about midnight—it looks like the sketchiest points will be afternoon into evening.

Howdy! I woke up at 8 and thought, "I can do better than that." So I went back to bed, persevered and pushed through, and the next thing I knew, 2 more hours of winter had disappeared without my participation. It's amazing what you can do when you put your mind to it.

Hope you're feeling better soon, Matt - ice can be real treacherous. A co-worker of my wife's went to jump over a small snowbank to catch a cab last year, hit some ice when he landed and shattered his knee. Not good.

Hunker down, eastern Gurus!

Have a good day, all!

Matt, seems like oxycodone hydracodone, oxycontin or similar would be the first line of defense on a knee/ligament sprain. Maybe that's just me ......

The week of vacation just flew by. Got to fish 3 of the days. Weather sucked. Windy, rainy and cool. Brought home a several bags of fish fillets though so it wasn't a total wash out.

GOOD EXCUSE, AND ONLY TOO TRUE :-0

SUN CAME OUT AND THE DAY TURNED NICE. GOT THE CLOCK SENT OFF FOR OVERHAUL, NICE DRIVE UP AND BACK. THE HOUSE IS WARM, MY BELLY IS FULL, ALL IS WELL WITH THE WORLD.

WE'RE COMING TO THE END OF A PINTO BEAN CYCLE. DARLING WIFE MAKES A BIG POT OF PINTOS AND WE WORK THROUGH THE INITIAL BEANS-HAM-CORNBREAD, THEN BEANS & RICE & SAUSAGE AND TACOS IN NO PARTICULAR ORDER AND REPEAT AS NEEDED. THOSE BEANS JUST GET BETTER EVERY TIME THEY ARE REHEATED. THIS WAS TACO NIGHT. I HAVE NOT YET MASTERED THE D-I-Y TACO, MINE TEND TO BE TOO FAT TO FOLD OVER :-)

LIFE IS GOOD.

Evening guys...been a good day. Sat around and played with grands, then got my hair cut, then a short nap then out with the whole bunch to bowl. I hadn't been bowling in over three years, didn't do well the first game, but got my rhythm going in the second game, and smoked them. In the third game I was going good, 78 in the 4th with a spare in the fifth but we quit, because the 8 kids were done. Then we took them all out to eat.
