Working on floors at the shop getting ready for concrete stain while he's messing with a Roketa thing he just bought. And BF drove my truck and scolded me about a sticky accelerator. Told me "you need to clean your throttle body" ... Seriously??? Who DOES that???

2015 Memorial Day Car Show Winner! Huskerland 14762 Posts Member since: 2009/9/12 19:16	I clean my throttle body quite often......its good hygiene....... Well I'm up to face the day.......I was doing just fine snoozing in the fuzzy sheets....but someone said February was coming soon so that means its time to get to work......even more than I have been. Got a call from my Mom and they are not doing so well so I'm off to Kansas tomorrow to see what is up. I was planning to go down today since its her birthday.....94 I believe........but she wanted me to come down Tuesday. I don't think they are sick just slowing way down. She takes care of my step-dad and he is getting frail and I think its become more then she can do by herself. More on that later. Not much else going on Guru's.....the weather sucks but its winter......have a enlightened day..........

I think I bit off more than I can chew...at least time-wise. Lots of work in that thing. I have it stripped and primed, though, so that's a good start. Cool here again today, but no snow like some of our Guru brothers and sisters experienced. But with the new snow tires on the Oodi I'd be slicing through it like a ninja anway Marcus - good luck with mom and step-dad. Hope everyone has a great day! Matthew

I and the fellow who helped me (John Porter aka Rex Ruby) both believed it was the first time it had ever been cleaned ...

Other one that probably ranked up there with it... When I totaled ford truck and transfer case was looked into I was asked by shop owner if I hit in there and shined it. Said it was cleanest one he'd ever seen.

Sue is home and doing well. Three trigger fingers, tennis elbow (radial nerve release) and a foreign body (large thorn) removed from her back. Guess what the doctor gave her for pain. ;) Thanks for the well wishes. Gris, you hit the supervision nail on the head. I get supervised whether I need it or not. Mostly not. Tomorrow, surgical follow up. Wednesday a trip to my heart doctor. Thursday, start catching up on things and soon start a couple of new projects. Oh ya, life goes on .................

The weather was pretty chilly all the way home and the wind was howling, making it no fun driving. Bucked the wind all the way home. Busy day for tomorrow. Glad to hear Sue is doing OK, Tommy. Awaiting to hear about your mom and step-father, Marcus. Might be time to discuss some type of help for them. Not an easy discussion. My 99 Silverado, had a sticking pedal at one time, a good cleaning of the throttle body fixed it. Seems like you BF, being a mechanic, would do that for you, Letty.
