Woke up with a sickness this morning. Not one of your regular run of the mill ailments ailments but more of a bug. It started with reading about a guy who was reunited with a Porsche 356 Speedster he had back in the 60's, sold, and had dreams about the car over the last 50 years wondering where it went. Yesterday I started thinking about ZR1's and how I haven't seen a lot of them around lately. This led me to do a search on ebay to see how much they were going for these days. This guided me to take a deeper look into into the current generation Z06's and see what was available and at what cost. I found a real nice one too for around $80k. Sickness ...... It's a sickness I tell ya.
I want to get back to OUR cars and make them car show clean and take them for a ride. 3 out of the 5 are currently roadworthy. My 911 is due to be released from the shop on Monday after a good going over with multiple minor repairs and a new set of tires. $$$$ It will be good to have it running in top shape once again. The 928 needs to continue on it's road to renewal and it will .... soon. Yup, it's bug. Most pick it up as a kid and carry it with them. Sometimes it lies dormant but every once in awhile it rears itself to let you know the infection is still alive and well. To the best of my knowledge there is no known cure except for maybe Even then it's questionable ......

SEMI SUNNY IN THE NATIONS, FAIRLY PLEASANT, 79/81. GOT ABOUT A HALF INCH OF RAIN YESTERDAY, COULD HAVE USED MORE.

BABY DAUGHTER & SIL COMING OVER TODAY TO PICK UP STICKS FROM THE STORM. I'LL BREAK OUT THE POLE SAW AND TAKE OUT SOME LIMBS WHILE I'VE GOT SOMEBODY TO HELP HAUL THEM OFF INTO THE WOODS.

Howdy! Nothing but chores on the agenda today. The Vette has sat since Monday - maybe I'll bust it out later.

Have a good day, all!

Thomas (antithesis of the plebeian TommyT-Bone), you might be interested
in the Sept. 2016 issue of Road & Track - pages 30 - 42, re 2017 Corvette Grand
Sport, price as tested: $93215.

Your ailment is curable - just have Sue expand her market with a commissioned sales force.

In the latest new from GM, they are "promising" to fix the overheating issues with the 2017 model of the Z06.

So, take the price and add a bunch money to it if you plan to drive it like a sports car.

Hey guys....I was MIA yesterday, funeral, then a trip to the 'city' for weekly groceries. By the time we got home the Royals were getting their ass beat, which puts me in a bad mood.

So sorry about your nephews, Ken. Tommy You know how my retirement has gone, you predicted exactly what it would be like.

It was cool this morning, but humid as heck. Rosie and I went for a short bike ride. Found out that it rained some time in the night...we'll take whatever rain we can get.

Quite a few of those have been built by race shops and private guys for track cars in the last few years.

Probably the only good Miatas ever built.
A stock Miata is really boring on the track.

That's gotta be really loaded (Z07 performance package, etc.). I'm thinking a "Mulhern-configured" Grand Sport coupe will come in $80,000 to $85,000.

John understands the term "collection".

I bought my second one in 1973....that means I've had it for years.
