It's a blazing hot, steamy summer as is usual this time of year in SoFlo. Not sure if I ever mentioned it but I hate summer in South Florida, all 6 months of it.

Greetings! Gonna be steamy here for a few days, Tommy would feel right at home. I will probably wilt mowing later.

Keep cool, Gurus!

Morning guys...I slept in again, this is becoming a habit. It's warm and humid here as well this morning, headed toward triple digits, I'm afraid. I need to get back out to the shop to finish sanding the changing table so I can begin staining it.

Sleeping in is a good habit since you'll still do a full days work even after sleeping in. My dog alarm clock wakes me at 07:00.

SINCE THE NATIONAL SOCIALIST MEDIA HAS RESURRECTED THE TU TOWER SHOOTING OF 1966, I WILL TELL YOU WHAT THEY WILL NOT, HOW IT ENDED.

THE TOWER WAS SPONTANEOUSLY SURROUNDED BY AUSTIN RESIDENTS WITH DEER RIFLES WHO PUT DOWN A BASE OF FIRE THAT KEPT WHITMAN'S HEAD DOWN WHILE AN AUSTIN CITY COP WITH A .38 AND A RANDOM CITIZEN WITH AN M1 CARBINE CLIMBED THE STAIRS AND TOOK HIM OUT. AT THE TOP OF THE STAIRS THE COP WENT AROUND ONE SIDE OF THE PARAPET & THE GUY WITH THE CARBINE WENT AROUND THE OTHER. THE COP GOT TO WHITMAN FIRST AND KILLED HIM.

THIS ACCOUNT COMES FROM THE COP, WHO LATER BECAME A TEXAS RANGER.

THE M1 CARBINE CAME FROM THE U.S. DIRECTOR OF CIVILIAN MARKSMANSHIP WHICH SOLD SURPLUS MILITARY ARMS TO CITIZENS IN THOSE BENIGHTED DAYS.

ALL THIS, OF COURSE WAS BEFORE AUSTIN BECAME A PEOPLES REPUBLIC.

Good evening gang.

Glad everyone had a good day. We went to see Peter Frampton last night. The Mrs and I had a great time. He put on an incredible show. 2+ hrs. and no opening act. Looks like the heat and humidity is coming back this week here too.

We are looking forward to the end of next week. We start vacation. First stop is going to be the Statue of Liberty. After that it's off to New England. No set plans just go camp and enjoy ourselves.

Later gang.

Hey guys, I got a lot done today. In the shop, the changing table got finish sanded, stained and then two coats of lacquer sprayed on. I went down to the storage shed and weeded around the storage unit and around the yard and #2s house.

This evening, I decided to try mens' night and golfing with my back. I didn't play my best, but my team did second place and got half my money back and it was 'steak night', so we ate well too.

While out at the course I had a phone call, a neighbor (also former student) calls me and says he has a trash bag full of freshly picked sweet corn for me. Once I got home we walked down the alley and picked that up, and shucked it. We are going to eat good the next few days....I love fresh picked sweet corn.
