24 years ago this month we had the experience of a lifetime here in SoFlo. The population went from a nice small town of 25,000 to 12,500 of the hardcore that chose to rebuild. Today Homestead has in excess of 60,000 residents. To me that's not a good thing but to a politician, they call that progress. Never understood the more is better thing.

Sue's secretary up and quit yesterday. She had been acting a little odd of late. I think she wanted to get fired so she could collect unemployment but that didn't happen. Not her usual self. Guess she had enough and decided to move on. I'm trying to talk Sue into selling out and retiring. So far she's not moving in that direction. She's already seeking a replacement to hold down the office.

Yeah that is a tough decision to make......I also am contemplating the future.........I don't know how Sue would handle not being involved in a going deal......I'm sure she would apply her energy to some other cause (like you )....maybe find a good manager and let them handle the load while she takes on a more CEO type role......I might be available.....

That was one nasty storm......damn....

More of the same today but at least we got some rain looks like......that is always welcome this time of the year........hope I don't see any more spider mites today........insidious little guys....that suck the life right out of the plant leaves........they can take over a field in days......all we can do is suppress them since they are on the bottom of the corn leaf the stuff we nuke them with can't really get to them but it does hold them back till the corn reaches a certain maturity where they can't hurt the yield anymore.

.....some agronomy for you this morning....

Hahahaha!

Gonna be a sticky one here today, will have to tough it out on the golf course tonight. I had to raise a Drambuie in my late brother's general direction last night - he would've been 76 yesterday.

Hard to imagine the kind of devastation that Andrew caused, to see everything you own turned into a pile of rubble.

Have a good one, Gurus!

Hey guys...been busy since the get go. Working on a computer, spraying finish, voting in the primary, planning a vanity. A little shower moved through and made it more muggy. Just another day in SW Kansas.

One of my friends/former co-worker and his gf stopped by to let me take a peek at his newest acquisition. 2016 Z51 now with a total of 700 miles on it. Oil changed was at 500 as required. He's a red Corvette kinda guy. He's selling his 04 asking 17k. Meticulously maintained and needs nothing. 84k miles.

Nice Vette!
The new steering rack came in for the '89 at the shop yesterday and we got the trans and drivetrain installed into the '65 frame. Now to continue the work on the cab and doors.
Wrap shop is unusually busy for the summer. That's usually a dead time here for us.
Whoever sent me the weather from hell, you may please come and collect it back now. Humid as I don't know what with 100-degree temps still. They'll project rain for a week straight then we don't get any, then they'll say sun for a week and it rains all week.

As I was taking a break from DNBFS (sometimes it can get to a bit much ) savoring a Mickey D's double cheeseburger, flipping thru Deals and Wheels:
