Got the Corvette down and the Caddy up. Looks a bit like it might rain on us.....if it does, I'll have to clean 007 up, no big deal. One more cool day then the heat comes back.

Have a great Sunday!

Oh good more heat......looking forward to that.....

well I went out to pull the Grand Sport out of the garage to take to the family reunion and it was stone dead.....first time ever that that has happened.....I had to use the secret key to open the hatch and then pull the wire to open the drivers door......I had left the Fuzzbuster plugged in.........damn.....I was in a hurry so closed it back up and took our old 05 Duramax that we keep for backup. My 12 Duramax was a total mud ball after last weeks work out in the fields......

I was disappointed that I let that happen......I guess the computer does not shut some things off after 15 minutes......so what is your opinions on the battery. Once it has been fully drained should I just charge it up or go get a new one.....about 86 bucks......Batteries are prime to these cars and I don't want to mess with this one if it is diminished in any way.....what say the Guru's?

Anyway had a good time seeing everyone. the small kids are all getting bigger and I can't remember all their names anymore.....good folks I enjoy being a part of the family.

Today mucho naps and hanging out and charging a battery.......keep the faith Guru's.....

HAD A SIMILAR DEAL WITH MY '96. INTERIOR LIGHTS GOT TURNED ON SOMEHOW AND LEFT ON, BATTERY PLUMB DEAD. TOO DEAD TO JUMP, TOO DEAD TO TAKE A CHARGE. I FINALLY GOT IT STARTED BY HOOKING ANOTHER BATTERY TO THE DEAD ONE AND A BATTERY CHARGER TO THE SECOND BATTERY. DROVE IT ABOUT 30 MINUTES THEN PUT THE CHARGER ON IT. THE BATTERY RECOVERED AND I HAVE HAD NO FURTHER PROBLEM WITH IT. (THIS WAS A NEARLY NEW BATTERY)

Hiya, Gurus! Saw lots of cool cars last night, but sadly, the mini-donut wagon was a no-show. Arghhhh! I think the rarest car I saw was this one - a '62 Olds Jetfire, with factory turbo. A car well ahead of its time:

Wow......that is a rare car......very cool.........on the battery deal the battery was new this spring........just saying......

I seem to remember a turbo on a Corvair back in the day also.......was that an all aluminum small V8 on the Jetfire?

Those were sought after by the garden tractor pull guys years back.....one of those in a garden tractor could pull the sled a long ways........more power baby.......

Yes, that is a 215 aluminum V8. I was just reading that it was the 2nd production passenger car to have a turbo - the first was the Corvair, which only came out a few weeks before.

I'm lucky - my radar detector shuts off after an hour with no radar signal ;-)

I never knew that Olds made a turbo engine in the day. That is a rare bird! I'm guessing that the battery will recover, Marcus, beings it is so new. If it had some age to it I'd be for looking at a new one.

Obviously made it to Dad's house, he made some chicken salad sandwiches for lunch on his homemade bread. Uuhm good. Just waiting for the Royals to start here. It did rain on us on the way down and never got above 75*. Luckily, the rain earlier had washed the dirt off the road, so 007 isn't too dirty......yet. Right before we left, we checked the rain gauge and found we had 2.30" last night.

Good Afternoon CGs!

Got home late last night. 750 mile drive from GA. Total was 2500 miles round trip. The kids enjoyed seeing our cousin and the four days in Disney. It was a lot more work for the grown ups than the kids. Can't imagine why

We are happy to be home. I've had enough of hotel rooms and eating out. That being said, the household projects are back in full swing. Got the new chairs assembled this morning for the kitchen. Took care of the pool that was in dire need of help. I started in RR#1s room. BIL was kind enough to finish the floors while we were away.

I am now in the process of touching up the walls and reassembling the furniture.

After that I have to pull the wheels off mom's SUV. We took that on the trip and I could feel the brakes pulsing. Original with 55k so it's probably time. If I order them tonight I should have them Tuesday morning.

Always something to do. Time for a workout.

Hope everyone had a great weekend!

Matthew

I got a $600 check in the mail , deposit on my FeatherLite race trailer.
I REALLY hate to see it go but I wasn't using it.
The guy is paying full price, no haggle.

A new one without the $3k in mods that I did is $10,000.

Thanks TB. They are the same prefinished floors from Menard's that match the rest of the house. Only room left is the master bedroom next year. But I'm hiring a company for that. Too big and complicated with angles, etc. We know the guy and have used him in the past.

Bill, congrats on the sale.

I like those that don't have the wheel wells inside the trailer.......

the GT 40.....one of the coolest car designs of all time......right up there with the 427 AC Cobra and the 63 Split window and of course the C6 Grand Sport........

Thanks Matt, now I have to buy a new roller cabinet.

Nice floor, it looks identical to my living room floor.

Nope, the 67 won't fit, this is actually a cargo trailer, it will fit the race cars even the winged ones.

Yea, FeatherLite is the best AND you pay for it, A new 20ft. FeatherLite car trailer is $15,000.

The great thing about my trailer is that: no equalizer hitch req'd. , no extended mirrors needed and before the mods and empty it weighs 1,700 lbs. The car trailers are over 3,000. And 16 mpg towing with the Silverado.

That GT40 has a 450 horse 351 Winsor, he just bought an original manifold and carbs for it - 4 Weber 2 barrels with the purdy velocity stacks.

That is a nice trailer, Bill. It's a pretty nice GT40 too. The Royals have finally scored more than 3 freaking runs.

Spent the good part of the day with some old friends ( lunch and dinner), some of it with family, mid-day, helping them with our chain saws.
