Crazy days at the nursery have begun. Busy as can be. Have to reschedule some small jobs to make room for big jobs. Have a huge order going to Long Island for some movie shoots. 3 semi's worth with multiple trees over 25' in length plus a lot of small stuff. What really sucks is I'll have lots of work over the next three weeks including plenty of loading. That means my nuts and my lower back are gonna be hurtin for certain. Even using a backhoe and skid steer there's gonna be some pain. We'll be jammed all the way up to the cruise date. Sue will be telling me a lot; "I need your help." Woe is me. Oh, WOE IS ME!

On a sidenote. I've talked Sue into shrinking the business and slowly divesting our interest. In short, semi-retiring Sue. I guess that means the business will take off like a rocket, right? LOL

Morning guys...Cool, cloudy (overcast), and humid this morning. We have another funeral at our church this morning, a gentleman who used to be janitor at school, and grandfather of several of my former students. I guess I get to help with the service.

Work in the shop after that, I hope. Mens' night at the golf course tonight.

Tommy, take care of that back!

Yea, Tommy that means business will pick up, Sue doesn't sound like a woman who can retire anyway.

Greetings! Back to the grindstone after an absolutely perfect weekend - the weather doesn't get any better. Well it was perfect except for the lack of mini-donuts at the car show, but I can get over that. I accomplished nothing, other than installing a new wifi router at home. Nice to have a weekend off from projects around the house.

Have a good day, all!

SEMI SUNNY AND ALMOST PLEASANT IN THE NATIONS THIS MORNING, 72* WHEN I GOT UP, BUT THE HUMIDITY IS STILL WAY HIGH. THE CHEROKEES ARE ENCOURAGED.

NOTHING ON THE AGENDA TODAY, OTHER THAN AUTO-ROTATION.

Yea, I don't like Mondays, I have to take the garbage cans out to the curb. And then I'll

Hummmmm,

I took my tool boxes apart yesterday, put everything that was in the roller cabinet into cardboard boxes (the roller goes with the sold trailer). What a freekin mess.

Now I have to find a bigger roller cabinet that will fit into the space I have in the shop.

Nothing but Snap On here on Craig's list. The Husky's at HomeD are decent but the wrong size. Craftsman has to be on sale to get a decent value. I may end up with a HF one.

Good Afternoon CGs!

Been working around the house. Had to caulk in the kitchen again. I used a caulk I've never tried before....red devil kitchen/bath caulk from Menard's. I wasn't impressed. After curing there were a lot of air bubbles and some areas of shrinkage. Not happy. I went over the whole thing with a second layer. Fixed a chair leg and readable that, and did some touch ups to the paint in RR#1s room. Also hung up some pictures.

Getting in a workout now, then hopefully clean the garage.

Happy vacation

Hope everyone has a great day!

Bill, that HF 44" is surprisingly good quality. Buy it with the coupon. Probably one of the best things they offer.

I gots excited, it was on sale for $379 and the latest flyer had a 25% off coupon................

Until I read the fine print "not good for tool storage"

Tent sale coming up there next week, I'll wait. Something might pop up on Craig's List by then too.

Yea, stay away from anything electric or air powered there.

I did see their free standing glass bead cabinet is on sale for $199 which is a really good deal.

They can be hit or miss. My electric angle grinder is going on 12 years with flawless service. 1/2 electric impact still works well. Electric pole saw is great. Bought a 3/8 air ratchet that broke after 6 bolts. But their earthquake air impact is highly regarded. I wouldn't buy any battery powered tool there, period.

If you look on garage journal there is a huge thread of pass/fail for HF items.

I only have their straight, air die grinder, I only bought it to reach a place on the race car where my good Ingersoll-Rand right angle die grinder wouldn't fit. It uses twice the amount of air that my good one does but, then I paid $8 for it.

I did buy a dremel kit for $7 but I bought it for the accessories, it has 3 different size arbors. The Dremel arbor's at Home D were $11 each. The HF dremel unit itself was laughable , thru it away.

Yea, the General tool box had good reviews everywhere lie the GrassRoots Motorsports forum.

My 7 drawer top box is a Proto and my 3 drawer mid is a snap on. Bought both in like 1973. I'd like to get everything into just the roller.

Also, the other rollers out there, Husky, Sears, Kobalt all have a 9 drawer, 44-46 inch. but those drawers are really deep like for power drills etc. Putting hand tolls in them an you'd just have to dig down thru to the bottom, 13 drawers makes more sense.

Got some stuff done in the shop this afternoon. Went out to Mens' night, good thing we had a good meal, because the golfing was not so good.

I nearly bought that HF tool box. If you don't get into a hurry they offer it, from time to time, for $298.

I have the straight grinder as well. And it is an air hog.

TB, I don't think I've ever seen the 44" that cheap.
