Tommy, thank you for the information on the Mahogany trees that you plant. The info verified what I was thinking, those are the genuine Mahogany. I knew that those trees were, or at least had been, on the endangered list. So I was glad to hear that you grew them. They really do produce wonderful lumber to work with, although I've never worked that particular species (mahogani). I've had some macrophilia species and love working with it. It is plantation grown in many areas of the world and is at a sustainable position. Most of what is called Mahogany isn't true Mahogany, but a different genus. Not even close in the same properties. Ah, but I digress. I doubt anyone here is that interested in wood.

It was a beautiful night here, we left the windows open. Yesterday was warm, but really windy 20-30mph with gusts to 45. Made for a not so nice day. It's gorgeous out right now, 57, overcast and calm winds (like dead calm). The rain that they were talking about yesterday never happened here. But west and north of town got some sprinkles and further north and east got some severe storms, mostly wind.

Not much on the agenda today, church this evening at 7. I've got a couple things to cut on the CNC, but waiting for the people to bring the materials to do. I'll work on some plans and material lists/prices today.

Well, I've gone on to much. I hope everyone here has a great Thursday.

Good Morning CGs!

Cool and rainy here today.

Family is in from NY to visit, my niece is over playing with the kids. We'll do dinner later and the kids will have a sleepover. Fun for all.

Hope everyone has a great day!

We've been leaving the windows up too. WWay too beautiful to be indoors working. I'd give anything to be rich and not have to work so I could be outside or traveling and enjoying the beauty of the planet.
wood included. Even morning wood on occasion lol

That's why I never understand the publicly known wealthy. They take vacations but they work a lot and go to fundraisers and groundbreakings. I guess that's why they're the known rich. They like to see their name and pictures posted. I want to be the unknown rich. Got a lot of money but you'd never know it. I'm about 10% there.

Same here.
I have some friends that are wealthy but you'd not know it.
When I lived in my ghetto apartment, one of my closes would come over often, rummage the fridge for leftovers, put his sock feet up on the furniture, sit out in the lawn chairs and have a beer or jump in the ghetto pool for a break. He says he values people for who they are not what's in their wallet. He adds that he likes those who keep their funding to themselves - "it's not nice to flaunt your riches" he used to say lol

Decades ago my boss told me about the paperboy (an older gentleman) who delivered newspapers to their office building. Every once in a while the paperboy would sit down and have a chat with the president of my boss' company. My boss asked his boss how it was that the paperboy could just sit down and chat with the president - apparently, the paperboy owned the building. He just liked to get out and talk to people.

True story. A wealthy construction company owner used to bus tables at a restaurant when the business got busy ... for free. Always used to blow our minds.

Thank you all for the nice comments. It really seems to run nice down the road. I got 27.8 mpg at 77 mph on the interstate coming home. At least by the car counter. It has Borla exhaust, new Goodyear Eagle F1 EMT run flat tires with Corvette Z06 wheels. It has navigation and heads up display and a 6-speed manual. Fun to play with and lots of other goodies for me to learn about. I did have to have my local mechanic friend replace the oil pressure switch. The analog was pegged at 80 pounds and the digital read 129. I looked in the other Forum and they said this was a common problem with the C6. Now the pressure reads 56 pounds at 2000 rpms, 46 at 1000 rpms and 38 at idle. So it looks to be okay.
