The American Dream is a alive and well inside my head. Much of what we enjoy is perceived. In my mind, much of what I enjoy is deceived. |

SUNNY AND COOL IN THE NATIONS THIS MORNING, RAIN CHANCE AFTER NOON ACCORDING TO THE WEATHER PROPHETS. YESTERDAYS RAIN WAS JUST ENOUGH TO SETTLE THE DUST AND MAKE THE DAMNED GRASS GROW :-| NOTHING ON TODAY'S AGENDA, IF IT DRIES OUT ENOUGH I'LL MOW PART OF THE OBSTACLE COURSE. “The beginning of all wisdom is the rectification of names” Confucius |

Good Morning CGs!
I had planned on cutting the back grass today, but last night we had some torrential downpours and the rain has continued into the morning. So scratch that. I'm sure I can find something else to do. Hope everyone has a great day! |

Nice day here also, about 85º.
I just finished putting a new radiator in my 94 Blue Toy. It was leaking along a seam and seemed very soft in that area. I put in a 3 core all aluminum. It fit fine except I had to widen the top rubber brackets that hold the two radiators in place and apart. The side tanks were a bit wider on the new one. It sat and idled at 197º. I took it out and ran it and it read 194º at speed. I then drove around town at low speed and it never went over 200º. I am very happy with the results and the radiator only cost $133 shipped. |

Worked in the shop most of the day...well after getting some paper work done for a job quote I'm working on. Just really getting into the swing of things when my phone rings and I see it is one of my former colleagues (now HS principal). When I answer he says there is a guy there at the school looking for me and says he is a former class of mine. I ask the name, and sure enough it was a guy I was friends with back in 3rd through 8th grades (until I moved to central Kansas, because of my dad getting a different teaching job). Had actually caught up with him about 11 years ago, but then haven't heard from him since. He came by the house and we caught up again, but this really put a big cramp in what I had intended to get done this afternoon. So I worked into the evening trying to make up.
It stayed pretty cool all day, high reached 69. |
