Good Morning CGs!

I apologize for being missing for the past week. I have been on vacation and have been enjoying the holidays with my family. I've also had a few projects going on around the house and whatnot. The biggest project is we have been preparing our master bedroom for new flooring. This is the last room in the house that needed to be done. I actually worked on Christmas day to get the carpet pulled up and prepped. As it sits right now, everything is torn up and the room is cleared. My brother-in-law and I did the closet floor the other day so I could get the semi-custom shelving reinstalled. That part is done and it looks really good. We had to take a break because he went out of state for new years. We will resume on Wednesday.

Aside from that I have been in the process of flipping another toolbox. That has been going well but it takes a lot of my time listing and selling the tools. I've sold about $3,000 worth of tools in three days. Not bad.

Today we will be taking the kids to lunch/dinner and then a movie in the evening. That's kind of our thing on New Year's Eve.

I tried to catch up on some of the past posts. It seems like everyone has been busy. I'm glad you guys enjoyed the holidays. Gris, I'm sorry to hear about your son and his chemo. I hope everything works out.

I'd like to wish everybody a Happy New Year.

Hopefully 2019 will bring us a new website and prosperity

If you're like me (which you are not, lol) You know the lyrics to Auld Lang Sein about as good as I do. Tonight you can be a pro instead of singing ... Should old acquaintance be forgot dahnah nah na-na nah nahh.

Auld Lang Syne

Should old acquaintance be forgot,
and never brought to mind ?
Should old acquaintance be forgot,
and old lang syne ?

CHORUS:
For auld lang syne, my dear,
for auld lang syne,
we’ll take a cup of kindness yet,
for auld lang syne.
And surely you’ll buy your pint cup !
and surely I’ll buy mine !
And we’ll take a cup o’ kindness yet,
for auld lang syne.

CHORUS
We two have run about the slopes,
and picked the daisies fine ;
But we’ve wandered many a weary foot,
since auld lang syne.

CHORUS
We two have paddled in the stream,
from morning sun till dine† ;
But seas between us broad have roared
since auld lang syne.

CHORUS
And there’s a hand my trusty friend !
And give us a hand o’ thine !
And we’ll take a right good-will draught,
for auld lang syne.

Good morning, all.

At the Chevrolet dealer, getting the 2003 inspected—ah, the glamor.

Matt, that's some nice work.

FAST AWAY THE OLD YEAR PASSES;
HAIL THE NEW, YOU LADS AND LASSES---

IT'S A RAINY 43 DEGREES DRIPPING ON THE CHEROKEES THIS MORNING. MAY CLEAR OFF THEY SAY THEN ALL KINDS OF WINTER NASTINESS WEDNESDAY AND THURSDAY. THEY ARE USING THE "I" WORD; EXPLETIVE DELETED.

NOTHING ON THE AGENDA TODAY OTHER THAN AUTO ROTATION, IF IT QUITS RAINING.

NICE LOOKING FLOOR, MATT; I DO LOVE A HARDWOOD FLOOR.

Morning guys....Dreary here this morning. Warm this morning, as far as December goes, 25 now and they say a high of 35.

Still not much on the agenda today. I'll go out to the shop to glue up some more on the candlestick holders. This is the last layer.

Nice work there Matt. Thanks for posting the lyrics Tommy, might have to use those tonight. John, is that yearly thing, having the cars inspected?

Yep, it's a Pennsylvania thing—Wikipedia says 17 out of 50 states have a regular inspection. I don't mind that much; I guess I've built the expense into my budget. Antique plates would exempt me (in the case of the 1985), but they come with driving restrictions—and we believe Corvettes should not have driving restrictions!

I will say that I can usually tell when I'm in a state that doesn't have regular inspection—most cars are fine, but you do occasionally see something that looks like it's going to fall apart right in front of you.

Hidey-ho! Dreary day here to ring out 2018, seems kinda fitting. Snow and freezing rain later, so that will be fun. We're going out to dinner with a bunch of friends.

Great work, Matt!

Have a safe and festive New Year's Eve, Gurus!

Happy new year everyone.....looking forward to hanging with you in 19.

Matt, looks good! I know its a big mess when new floors get put in. Everything needs to be out and then all moved back in......I'm getting tired just talking about it......... worth it though.

Nice work going on there Matt.
Can't believe this entire year is already gone. This needs to slow down some. It'll be Christmas again before you know it.
Spent most of the weekend getting the Christmas stuff down at home and at the nursing home, then up into the attic. I like looking at the stuff but its' nice to have the house back. A cheap $10 outdoor plastic trash can made the perfect container for the garland that I had along the fence. Sure as heck beats a $29 giant tub I was looking to buy.
Rainy and cold here today - was so loud a bit ago thought the ceiling was coming in - looked like the start of a hurricane out there
