I have a '92 LT1. There are two plug wires with straight boots. Do they go to number 6,8 cylinders? The previous owner had a universal set put on, so I want to make sure this is correct.

Thanks, I know what sensor you mean. I changed #8 last night.

yes. They're intended to clear the water temp sensor in the block between 6 and 8.

6 and 8 ain't so tough (although I had a miserable time with the 8 wire snappin' on - I had to slide the wire INTO the boot to get it close enough to the plug).

To get 6 and 8 on easy, I climbed over the motor from the drivers side, and sprawled over the plenum. You can then get both hands easily onto the plug boot, just like it's yer own pecker!!! (not as comfy tho')

I discovered the "climb over the motor" technique with them as well, although I still wouldn't classify that approach as easy -- still a bitch!
