Is there a way to get a build sheet for a 92 without paying the $40. I tried the dealer, and their computer will only fetch back to 98.

Did they not hide them in the car like they did on the C3s? Most of ours were all on top of the gas tanks or gas tank shrouds.

The key is to not have it fall apart while trying to get it off.

May be one on top of the tank.

I got a nice one off my C2.

The C4 has one hidden really well. It's stiffed in the front suspension tower. The access hole is about 1/2 inch in dia. Yea, it comes out in pieces.

On my 85 it was glued to the top front of the gas tank. The lower edge was barely visible. It sort of disintegrated when I tried to remove it.

Curiosity got the best of me and I bought it for my 90. Pardon me for being a smart-ass.

On the 92 and newer (and maybe older) cars the build sheet on the gas tank is under a strap so you aren't going to get it off in one piece unless you remove the bumper and remove that strap or loosen it enough and even then its probably going to be very brittle.

I just had to put my new license tabs on my '96, so I took my plate off to take a look for the build sheet. Yep, there it is, like you said, but I'm not about to go to the bother of removing the bumper.

On the bright side, my license tabs were only $48. Maybe I'll use the savings to buy the build sheet from the Corvette Museum ;-)
