www.corvettehid.com

These are real HID foglights designed specifically for the C4 Corvette. Not just some "one size fits all". The service is...excellent...110% all the way. Will bend over backwards to get you set straight and these guys use there products on their own car.

880 bulbs are stock and terrible
885 are a little but not much better
corvettehid.com is the way to go. Use on backroads as they are extremly bright and could blind oncoming traffic. How is that for a foglight?!?!?!

I saw how expensive the HID headlights are but throw some silverstars with Hella lamps(replacable bulbs) and you will wonder how you ever used the stock set up...Just thought I would pass on the tip to everyone.

I'll be building fixed headlights into my '77 and when I do I'm using a couple of those universal kits to go HID. Ironic that this thread is about a C4 specific kit, but I'm just putting in my two cents about how great HID lighting is for night driving.

Oh and I don't want to hear crap about you hating someone behind you with HIDs...it's crap. You're in a low car, his headlights are a safety thing for him, and you have a dimming ability with your mirror.

Do your homework before you invest in the Hella envelopes. The word on the street is that the spread between the high and low beams is too great for a lower profile car like a Corvette. If the low beams are aimed properly the high beams are in the trees. If the high beams are aimed right, the low beams hit the road too close to the car to do much good. Check it out before you spend your hard earned.

RACE ON!!!

Did not know that and thanks for posting it CFI.

Me personally, I don't use brights. They are illegal on the mainroads(yes, they give tickets here) and it really pisses me off when people ride with them on. I stay off the backroads at night time. Deer accidents are common on old concord-sailsbury road. Nasty stuff when you hit one.

Durango Boy, they have kits for the other generations as well. I tried generic bulbs and they were garbage. I mean they were bright but they burnt out way to quickly. You will love it though. I got the 5000K and 8000K. Anything above 8000 is not bright. 5000K is the best and looks natural. I would love to be in a car with factory HIDs and just see how it looks from that perspective.

As for the drivers with HIDs and the ones complaining about them. Yea, they can be annoying but they are for safety and they help keep the road lit up. I think they should be standard on all cars other than luxury. Just my .02. Daytime running lights are a nice upgrade as well for the C4. I would reccomend that to anyone who drives alot.

CFI is dead on that... I have the Hella's and they are better, but the beams are whack.

Good to know. I have them too and thought I somehow screwed up the beam alignment when I installed them. I'd been meaning to adjust them....

And here all this time I thought the Kid was only interested in this brand. And by the way, may she rest in peace.

The late Farrah Fawcett. Actress from Charlies Angels... about 30 years ago now. She died last week from cancer.

However, CFI sent me to a great site on lighting, www.danielsternlighting.com.

I was going to say they look dorky compared to the dual lights on the C5, but then again, you'll never ever see them in the daytime anyways. You'd only see the two beams at night and not the popup.

You'd be right if the roads were all flat. But as soon as that m***f***r with HID hits a dip or bump in the road, it blinds everyone within a mile ahead of him.
