Matt may be busy so I'll launch the daily chat.

My son can officially move into his place although it still needs some cosmetic work. The major things that make it liveable have been done. New tub, cabinet and sink, A/C serviced, appliances in place, new counter top in the kitchen, new blinds in the windows, fumigation. Now we'll just get the rest of his stuff moved over and tackle the rest of the projects like patching, painting, screen repairs, landscaping etc. Plenty to keep busy. Hope y'all have a great day ahead.

Geez Tommy, I'm thinking you are working harder since you retired??
I'm up in the tar sands for the rest of the week, but I saw two beautiful CB C3's out cruising yesterday. I wanted to hang with them but then I remembered I was in my pickup, damn.
Have a good one Gurus

Good Morning Gurus!

Whose got a dry shoulder for me to cry on?

This is the second half of the third week my wife is working away from home. Gotta admit, I am growing weary of it. She was also away for six weeks during March and April.

This summer I've had my boys here with me all day, every day unless I had a shoot. Then I took them to daycare. Saved us a nice chunk of change.

So, trying to run my business and provide child care, with the added challenge of being a single parent for about a third of the summer is wearing me down.

But wifey is back in town next week, and the kids start school next Wednesday. The most wonderful time of the year!

Thankfully my boys love school.

My older son and I have spent the last couple days moving him into my daughter's old room. More expensive than I imagined, but he's a happy camper! He's shared a room with his little brother for five years with no complaints. But he's 10 now, and could use the privacy.

Continuing on in the "change is good" department...

My wife brought a cat home a few years ago, despite my objections. Over the past year, the cat has decided to piss pretty much anywhere other than the litter box. Down the heater ducts, by my office chair, ON my living room chair... Yesterday was the last straw. So the little bitch is an outside cat now. Didn't get much sleep last night with her whining, but she ain't getting back in here, no way!

She still has her claws, and we will continue to feed and water her outside.

So... Daughter in college, kids going back to school, no smellycat messing up my house. Gonna be a great autumn! Bring on my Steelers!

Hiya, Gurus! We got back late last night from our trip - had a terrific time! Lots of jamming and laughs at the cyberjamming get-together. Both Estes Park and the Black Hills were stunning - I have to get back out there again. Maybe we'll hit the Black Hills Corvette Classic next July. On a number of occasions, I was jonesing for the Vette, but the Jeep did fine. I took today off to unwind - doing a good job of that so far.

Sounds like you guys made hay with your son's new digs, Tommy - congrats!

Have a great day, everyone!

Crash, watch out for the CDL schools. There are a lot of rip offs out there. Also there are a lot of laid off experienced drivers looking for work, so a newbie might have trouble getting a decent paying job.

Good morning, Gurus!

Sounds like progress, Tommy!

Another mellow day to look forward to, however I think the cat hurled a hairball on my desk chair. I've postponed dealing with it - rolled the chair out of the way and got myself another chair.

A vacation sounds nice! I'd like to have one of those!

Happy Wednesday!

Several years ago, Staples had that ad where the parents are gleefully shopping and the kids are dragging like lumps with "the most wonderful time of the year" playing in the background. One of my fave ads!

Boy, you folks with the kitties are having problems. My kitty knows better.

He peed on a wall ONCE - the next day I had his balls cut off. Me chief, he indian - I think he fully understands that now.....

So what's new?????

Well, still waiting on the damage bill on the bike - it's an exhaust valve on the left side, I might get the good (ha ha) news on that this week. Replaced the rear tire on the other bike (it picked up a screw). Blew up my Dremel and my Laserdisc player finally died (after 20+ years, where's the quality???? HA HA)...

Oh well - back to the keyboard - programs await!!!

Laserdisc... The 8-Track of video formats.

The discs themselves are neat to look at. Like big-ass DVDs. Might make cool wall art.

My kittah has been altered for quite awhile. So that's not her issue. She just doesn't like me. She doesn't pee on my wife's things. Guess I'm not the Chief...

I just handed a 17" Mac laptop down to my son last night. I sent him downstairs this morning, for the bag I used to carry it in, and guess what? The cat had peed on it... Glad the compy wasn't in there, or there might be ten pounds of Coyote food on the other side of my fence.

Ungrateful, loveless, fat, lazy worthless creature. Enjoy the outdoors, you POS. My horse-puppies (German Shepard/Great Dane mix from the look of them) enjoy having her out there, at least.

Had another early tee time. Not terribly busy this morning so we flew around. I played reasonably well. my SIL beat me by a stroke. This afternoon we are watching the two younger grandkids while the daughter and SIL take the two older ones on a hike.

The week is going by too fast.....

I'd like to do that to all these skanky stray cats out side that piss around my front door and walk all over my vette.
