I would think yes. There are some non-runners that would fit the bill.

Also, consider a 1985 or so, with a blown tranny or something to that effect. Toss in the belief by many that the C4 ain't worth shit, you have the $1000.00 C4.

I know they are out there.

It wasn't that long ago that 1977-1981 C3s were worth the space they took up. They are not worth a lot more now, but they are keeping up with inflation for good, stock originals.

Looking for a 24 hrs of lemons candidate? I've seen a few basketcases around $1500.

:D

I want to be competitive, I want something I am familiar working on. And i want something that won't break the bank between the money pool on the drivers.

I could see it happening. Lots of L98s out there with stupid problems like bad head gaskets sitting in backyards. Post an ad on CL in your area.

Everyone in the PNW thinks their POS is worth gold. I've got to scout out of the area.

I think I found a winner. It's local, it's an 86, it's a manual (clutch is frozen) and asking price is 1k.

Awesome. I just saw one yesterday - 85 that needs paint but has good body, runs, has a bunch of new parts, guy lost storage - $2,000.

Keep us posted on the project.

Every once in a while one pops up in my area... usually 84's. People aren't as quick to give them away though these days. The word corvette is synonymous with $$.

Sounds like fun. Just from looking at the rules, you gonna upgrade the brakes, as well? I know a guy who sells C5 brake upgrade adapters

For endurance racing, the brakes could be an issue, but I've never seen anyone try to get the most out of the stock brakes. I'm ashamed to say I didn't try either.

Hawk makes a few different race pads for the 84-87 C4. With those and some Motul you could probably hammer the thing for awhile.

Didn't read too far into the rules but how or whom sets the value of the car?

Looks like a claiming race. You can run a Viper if you want, and they can vote to destroy it.

Do they let any idiot race?
