Good Morning CGs!

Well it was nice to sleep in and not be awoken by (a) annoying alarm screeching (b) annoying baby screaming (c) annoying wife whining

Got a few minutes before I have to take wifey to the eye dr for her appointment. After that I'm supposed to come home and work while my wife goes and shops....wait a minute, how does possibly work? She got $50 worth of free gift cards at Kohl's last week so she's gotta use them up by the 6th and today is the only day. Some how I get the feeling that even though we have $50 free, the shopping trip will go over that budget. Wonder why I get that feeling????

Other than that, I'll try to relax a little.

Hope everyone has a great day!

Matthew

Well, I had an interesting morning. When I went to start my truck I saw a squirrel jump into the engine bay. When I got in my truck I heard it under the bed, but just in case I popped the hood to be sure it wasn't in the fan. I started the truck and went back inside. There is an antifreeze leak on my truck, and I could smell it when I went to leave. When I popped the hood again to check the antifreeze the squirrel jumped out. He had tucked in by the firewall. I'm pretty sure I jumped to and said a few words!

Tyler, scared of a 1 lb squirrel? LOL.

I'm getting pissed. I keep ordering rocker arm studs longer and longer and when I get them they all seem to be the exact same length. How hard is it to find some damn 2" rocker arm studs?

Good morning! Today is the first day since late October that I was glad the Vette is tucked away - we are getting a little snow. Plenty of white-knucklers on the freeway to make the commute "interesting".

Not much here either, just the usual same crap different day sort of thing. This time was mama's hot water heater. The water dept. there cut the water off months ago but not all the way. I now have an effed up hot water heater, wet floor, wet wall, mess of crap and wonder the house didn't burn down.
Will this crap ever end?????

Hot water systems are a rare cause of fire, unless they are let run dry, and to do that they have to be mounted higher than the outlets. There should be a fuse or circuit breaker that is designed to prevent damage to the cables or system, so once the current limit is reached the breaker will trip of the fuse will blow. Being a MIMS element there is really nothing there to catch fire, cause its mineral insulated, metal sheath, and the tank should be copper. Its just a pain in the arse more than anything, i cant see there being a fire hazard as long as the proper circuit protection was in place ( and not a bloody big piece of wire taking place of the fuse wire )

After all the trouble youve had lately though i dont really think you need any more. You need to take a break from things before you wind up a shaking wreck.
