Land of the free and home of the brave.

I'm going to have to start looking for a place like that. It used to be here but too many things have changed. Any good suggestions? Check out this story. Regulations get to a point of being ridiculous.

Is there anybody in government who isn't an idiot????

I can top this story.
There's a congressman who now wants to pass a law banning salt in restaurants.

Here is the problem.... Leave a politician alone to justify their existance and they will come up with shit like this...

That's why government gridlock is the best we can hope for. If they can't accomplish anything, they don't hurt us as much.

That's genius!

So, here's the scenario...

Good Samaritan feeds homeless person.
Homeless person asks, "May I use your sink?"

Good Sam. doesn't have a sink attached to their Prius, so the homeless person can sue the good sam.

Voilà! Homeless person can now afford an apartment!

This could TOTALLY solve the homeless situation, worldwide!

EFFING BRILLIANT!

So if this was happening on your block, would you be content with homeless people camping out in your HOA funded landscaping, deficating and leaving garbage there and hassling you for food and money when ever you walked by?.. all because it's become a spot for them to congregate for free spaghetti?

It's apt.

NIMBY.

There are regulations against feeding animals in the wild. I guess that should apply here. If there is no food they will hunt elsewhere. Or they will tear up your campsite and turn everything upside down trying to find something to eat.
Might just be better to gather them up, corral them, feed and shelter them, train them, put down the sick and lame. Something like youth in Asia.
Or we could put them on display at a local shelter and people could walk through and see if there's one that they like and could take one home.

Well, Tommy, if you invite those homeless people over for dinner inside your residence, then the regulations wouldn't apply. Problem solved.

If I ever run for office, it will be to eliminate these types of rules and regulations.

That's right. Your first point of order will be to vote in a regulation that regulates the regulations, just as Tommy said.

My Opinion is this is BS. Giving to the needy, hungry, homeless, ets. Is a human choice not a law period. As far as the not in my backyard comment. I have always been in favor in questionable programs near me. Reason is I am gun owner. If the needy become criminals over thankful. I have no issue showing them they should have never entered my home. Point is this, If I want to give to anyone needy or not it should be my choice not law.
