Woke up to a cool South Florida morning. Past couple of days have been overcast with occasional showers. Things are starting to get back to normal around the house. Still waiting to get my now 5 month old pressure washer back from Lowes. The pump took a dump a month ago so I turned it in. It has a one year manufacturers guarantee and I took out a 4 year service agreement because of the long term unreliability of pressure washers. Pump is on back order. Not a good sign to me. The store mananger is all bright and cheerful and the master of a thousand excuses. They must think customers are friggin morons. I guess they don't realize I'm more than happy to spend my money at their competitors too. Home Depot, Northern Tool, Harbor Frieght and Sears are all close by. I have to go do some shopping for a cheap reliable lawn mower. I usually spend less than $250 and the mowers have been lasting me around 10 years. Hell they're still running when I replace them and I usually give them away to someone in need. Wifey wants some help moving about 50 big trees. That should be lots of fun. Well, have a great day gurus. Have a plan for your day before someone makes a plan for you.

Good Morning CGs!

I woke up this morning at 4:30 and couldn't fall back asleep. I was thinking of motor mounts, torque converters, headers, starters, exhaust, fuel injectors....well, you get the point. I did get a few more minutes of sleep, but the alarm was not welcome.

I would like to get home tonight and do a little cleaning on the engine bay but I don't think that will happen. I've got a shelf full of parts I've been collecting for Woodstock that I need to ship out.

Tommy - sucks about the pressure washer. Are they going to refund you or fix it or what? And what happened to the new "non-running" mower you got from your wife's friend last summer? The one you fixed without any issue.

Hope everyone has a great day!

Matthew

They of course want to repair it. I had it 4 months so they weren't really looking to give me a refund. Would they?

The freebee lawnmower threw some oil out the front of the motor. Probably a blown gasket. My lawnmower still works fine. I just want to get one for my son. That's why I was thinking of giving him my 10 y/o lawnmower and get me something new.

Greetings! My clean car lasted exactly one day - it's raining cats and dogs here. At least the rain held off yesterday an my son got to enjoy the Twins game - he said the new ballpark is amazing. I'm gonna have to get down there sometime this season. I went to start up the sprinkler system last night, and discovered that one of the pipes outside burst over the winter, so a plumber will be coming on Friday - oh, joy! Wife sent the taxes in yesterday, enough to have paid for another Vette. Delightful.

Too bad about your pressure washer Tommy. Bought a Troy Bilt Pressure Washer from Lowe's two summers ago. Lasted two hours and died. When I talked to the manager he said I had to call Troy -Bilt to get repaired. Would not refund my money! Long story/short version called Lowe's Customer Service my refund was ready by the time I got back to the store. Nice pressure washer Honda engine/2 gazillion psi.

That's what I got. LOL. A Troy Bilt with the Honda engine. 2600 psi. After 2 hours I would want a refund. After 4 months I can see repairing it. But repair the damn thing already .......... I think the pump must have been made by the same people that manufactured our C4 slave cylinders.

Morning Gurus.....Ron, had to laugh about your junior 'picking his nose', I laughed out loud and my juniors looked at me funny....I guess they do that all the time. Two of them are finished with their projects and now are messing around trying to "...deciding what to do next." Got one girl in this class, who has built four different projects this year and working on the fifth.

Sorry about all your troubles with the pressure washer, Tommy. Sounds like Ron has the solution. Matt, it's exciting times, no wonder you can't sleep.

Well I got the doors built and glued up last night. Tonight I'll start on the drawers. Would be a great deal if I could get them basically done before the weekend, we'll see how it goes. 36 days left to retirement.....

Oh God it's busy here this week. I just got pegged to revise and upload a new course about the HOMO Policy for the Air Force. You know that's allowed now. So I have to jump through some hoops today, so everyone knows the rules about homosexuals --- ASAP

Greetings, Gurus!

We did our taxes last night, too. Joy.

I teach adults, and I've yet to see one overtly pick their nose in class, but if I do, I know I'll start chuckling and be thinking of you guys!

I got a lot of things done yesterday that I was going to do today, so I need to revamp my day. Gotta get ready for trainings on Weds and Thurs, so I guess I'll start with that.

Happy Tuesday!

IEW. =)

I'm teaching adults at their place of work with their colleagues (many of them either in scrubs or suits/ties) - maybe they feel more pressure to be 'good.'
