Good Morning CGs!

Happy Friday to all.

Well I've been craving some Chinese food the last couple days, finally broke down last night and got some (after I'd already eaten dinner, of course). But I wasn't too bad. I had a plate of pork fried rice.....and 4 crab rangoons. I love those things. I don't know why, but they are so good. But since I didn't gorge myself like I usually do on Chinese food, I'm feeling quite alright this morning. I'll get in a KB workout later, anyway

Engine guy called me yesterday, wanted to know what intake setup I was using to order a gasket kit for the motor. I guess there is light at the end of the tunnel. I want this in....lol. Of course once it's in I still have more to do, but that's a big psychological stepping stone. The rest will kind of fall into place.

Hope everyone has a great day!

Matthew

Got into high gear late yesterday around 4:00 pm. Jumped up on the boat and started checking everything out. Did some lubricating, checked wiring connections, flares, radios , GPS etc. Found my running lights aren't working so I have some wire tracking to do. Then all that's left is a couple of pumps with the grease gun and I should be good to go. I was hoping to go this morning but it'll just have to wait till I'm legal. I don't do much night fishing anymore (or day fishing for that matter) so I might just pick up some battery powered lights in the event enforcement checks me all the equiptment will work. So, what do you have planned gurus? I see grass cutting in my future ..........

Sunny and warm high near 65 with rain later on. Got an early start at school this morning. Sprayed final coat of urethane on 21 pic frames for the school and 9 cabinets. Using water based urethane for the first time.
Move the last of the 7 yards of top soil last night.
Have a great day gurus.

Happy Friday! I'm scouting around for a shop in town that can modify one of the pipes I need to install the Corsa, not having much luck so far without having to go to Timbuktu. May be a moot point as my honey-do list keeps growing.

Hope everyone gets their weekend off to a good start!

Are you going to muffler shops, welders or both?

Just looking at muffler/exhaust shops. The pipe has a slip joint that is too large - I need to have it cut off and have a smaller one welded on. One nearby shop could do the work but doesn't have stainless.

Morning guys. It's a pretty good Friday. The kids are actually working. Don't know if you guys read my last post last night, but we had some excitement yesterday. About 5pm the tornado sirens start going off. We had a large tornado just southwest of town headed northeast. By large I mean 1-1 1/2 miles wide. Luckily it passed just north of town about 3/4 of a mile. A friend lost two fifth wheel campers, "tossing them around like toys". He also had some damage to his house and shop, mostly from large hail...baseball to golfball sized. I haven't heard of any other major damage.

Today is bright sunny and headed to mid 60's. I'll have a real light load this afternoon with track, baseball and golf all gone. After school we are headed to the in-laws for the weekend. Might take the Vette.

We have dodged the bullet this year with bad storms. Winter was relatively mild and so far no tornados. We live about 9 miles north of so called tornado alley. We have lucked out so far. In 1997 a tornado roared through Granger and did major damage to my house, roof, brick, windows and dry wall inside the house where baseball size hail broke windows and interior. My collie was injured by glass when the front windows shattered accompanied by 85 mph winds. The house two doors down was untouched. Amazing!!

Greetings, Gurus!

I was out yesterday conducting a training at the farthest part of the county that you can be in and still be in the county. The training went well, and I'll probably have more trainings scheduled as a result with other facilities.

I saw a vid on CNN.com of a tornado in Texas - that sucker was huge, too!

Got some work to do over the weekend, but that's not a bad thing.

Happy Friday!

That's one thing you have to say about most politicians.
They sure are responsible for a lot of term moil.
People used to say if it ain't broke, don't fix it.
Looks like they fixed it till it broke. (IMO)
