Good Morning CGs!

We had a little family party last night at my aunt/uncle's house for my cousin who turned 21. Wow, I must be getting old because I kept thinking "these young kids are so wild"...lol. I wasn't really in the drinking mood, so I will be fresh if I decide to work on the motor today.

Speaking of birthdays, sama-lama turns two tomorrow. And yes, we are in the phase of "terrible twos"....it does exist! I'm a little nervous and excited to see how she will handle a new baby in 4 more months. She's the center of attention now, and that's the way she likes it!

We're going out to dinner tonight with the in-laws for Sam's bday. They got her a big electric Barbie Jeep to ride around in. I think she's gonna like it. We got her a little tikes slide for the backyard that she has already been using. Not bad for a two year old!

Hope everyone has a great day!

Matthew

My brother in law celebrated his 50th birthday last night. My MIL and FIL put together a nice spread. I stuffed my face and didn't stop till I had my two pieces if ice cream cake. Nice little family gathering.

You should've had him celebrate his 49th harder - 50 really sucks.

Gonna wash the Vette today and pop the top for the first time of the year - looks like we have a nice string of days ahead.

Those jalopy pics are excellent!

Went to a teacher retirement party last night. Next years my turn. Great time! Drunk fest. He and I grew up together and teach at our old high school as well as our principal. Holy shit Batman dejavue all over again only 40 plus years later! Roasted a hog, sweet corn and beer and beer and more beer. Funny thing our wives were our high school sweeties. Our current principal (an almum) I would beat the crap out of in football practice along with the retired teacher. A little embrassing when they began to show old high school pics. I think the blood coming out of our ears in the football pics means concussion and could lead the brain damage damage damage. Hell know wonder none of us are right!!

Sunday Morning beautiful day, my beautiful bride said, she is going after more flowers to plant. Can't fricking wait!!Watched Monaco Race and Power Block Tv and nursing a headache. Head over to my daughter house and install a shelving unit I built for her.

Morning guys, it sounds like several of you could have been at my next door neighbors last night. They went on until after three. I don't have much planned today, I will go over to the daughters house later and help her get some things together and do some repairs on to the house so maybe she'll get some of her deposit back.

I think I'll sit down here and work on converting some more of my LPs to MP3s, I've got quite a few yet. But it's kind of cool sitting and listening to the old tunes on the record player.

Greetings, Gurus!

Been a nicely paced lazy yet productive morning so far. Read a magazine, watched the F1 race in Monaco also, clipped some coupons, now I've got some eggplant roasting in the oven right now.

Damn, Kevin. I've been to the Grove 100s of times. I crewed for a Sprint Car that was sponsered by Tobias Speed Shop ( just down the road from WG) when I was in my first years of college.

I also raced at Susquehanna Speedway, between Harrisburg & York, Trailways Speedway in Hanover and a fer others, all on 2 wheels.

Been to all those tracks for the sprint car races many times. one you did not mention was Lincoln Speedway in Hanover not too far from trailways. never saw the 2 wheel races there. How many years back was that Bill? Ever get back this way for the races?

Oh yea, been to Lincoln, Hagerstown and many more. Plus every dragstrip within 300 miles.
I was on a drag race team when I was 13.
Crewed on the sprint car while I was in my first 2 years of college (Williamsport)1971-72. Went to college in Colorado in 73, sold my 63 C2 to race bikes. I got a job as an engineer with Ingersoll-Rand in Shippensburg early 1975 and was racing the circle tracks then. I raced bikes because i couldn't afford a race car then.

I haven't been back in 10 years, I'm in a running fight with friends and relatives about me always coming back and them being to lazy to take a trip out here.
