Good Morning CGs!

Sitting here watching Shrek III for about the 400,000th time with the rugrat. She loves this movie. It's good the first....500 times, but I think I know every line by heart...lol.

Got a race coming up in a few hours. It's a "fun run" more or less. It's called the warrior dash. Go ahead and google it. After that I'd like to work on the car, I got my new laptop and datalogging cable

Hope everyone has a great day!

Matthew

Could you guys throw together a little info and how to thread on data logging? Maybe just the basics to inform the uninformed. I would like to know just enough to know what your doing but not quite enough to do it myself. Thanks.

Got up , had a cup o'joe, rinsed off the cars and wiped em down while they still had the morning dew. I do it before it gets so hot the water dries while you wipe leaving streaks. My weekly ritual. It's supposed to rain everyday in the pm for the next 9 days. Summer in the tropics. The cars look great for a few hours anyway. The thunderstorms come at great time every day. Just about nap time. After the worst of the booms go away I drift right off. I swear, the greatest part of being retired is getting to take a nap. Have a Happy Fathers Day weekend or your babys' daddy day if that is what you prefer.

Good afternoon. I got up and went out and finished up the countertops....now I need to get out in the shop and clean it up. Not much planned here for today. It's going to be hot...again. Thinking of taking the grandsons to see the new Toy Story movie tomorrow.

Not much other than that today....you guys have a good Father's Day weekend.

I decided to go to a car show at the Chevy dealer this morning. They had a good turn out, but an asphalt parking lot in 95*F weather was too much for me. Left early and the AC in the Vette had me cooled off quickly. Sorry, I forgot the camera this morning.

I slept off and on all day and got absolutely nothing accomplished that I needed to. Yard is a mess, house is a mess, Freelance work that needs done, both vehicles need washed. Anybody wanna be a 'husband for a day'? I can cook
And, in honor of my father, kinda thought bout getting myself that 3-part stack Craftsman tool cabinet and 204 piece tool set at Sears - afterall, any woman knows a good sale when she sees it - THEY'RE HALF PRICE!

Greetings, Gurus!

I got my temporary disabled parking placard yesterday after my visit with the rheumatologist. I'll only use if I really need to, and last night at Staples Center, I'm SOOOO glad that I had it. We had a fairly long walk (at least for me) as it was, walking from the farther parking structure would have been a bit much.

They've been giving away $50 Sears gift cards on Sirius NASCAR radio - imagine that plus the sale? Nice. =)

What a day.
I was determined to finish up as many loose ends as possible on the vette.
Ripped apart the rear suspension and pulled the half shafts to inspect the U-Joints, and install my 1/2 shaft safety loops. Did a rear brake inspection, and bled them out too. Minor adjustment to the shifter cable was also needed.
Next, I re-installed the exhaust. Like an ass, I threw away the old bolts, so a trip to the hardware store was needed.
I started the new motor again to do a few things.
1) Get the initial timing set.
2) Set the fuel pressure.
3) Check for leaks, and purge some air out of the cooling system.
4) Somewhat set the minimum air.
5) Get the trans fluid close enough so the thing would not eat itself up.

The idea was to get it ready for my 1st chip.

I am sore, tired and burnt to a crisp.

All in all, a good day. Hopefully, clean work from here on out.

Well today we buried my Grandma, it went ok.. also my uncle backed into my vette in the driveway... atleast this time it was just a little paint transfer from what I saw so far.. most of it I got out with a little buffing.. a year or so ago in winter my dad backed into and cracked the hood and bumper cover.. so it was all new paint... oh well....
