Good Morning CGs!

Well, it's raining now and has been off and on for several hours. About 4 am the storm was so bad that the thunder was literally shaking the house. Wow. This is in an already saturated area. We had some flooding around the area last week when there was heavy rainfall. Hopefully not a repeat of that. My city was ok, but a couple close just got hammered.

Switched my workouts up a bit yesterday. Back to the KBs. Took it light and my legs are still sore! Hopefully it doesn't bother me too much, my run tonight is supposed to be 4 miles with 4 gentle pickups at the end. For those you start out slow, build up to a slow sprint within 100 meters, then hold for 20 meters, then slow down. Sounds easy, right? Go try it

I am using a modified version of this training plan to get in shape for the race:

Runner's World

Hope everyone has a great day!

Matthew

Depressed this morning. Heading out the door to go to Guadalahra (or however you spell it), Mexico. Then Monday I fly to meetings in the Boston area(Lawrence, Mass). Then home again (for 36 hours) on friday. Traveling for a living sure beats you down. Maybe I will buy Plane's, Train's, and Automobiles and watch it for a chuckle.

I plan on doing some running today myself. I'm gonna run around town in the 90 and stretch it's legs. Work through the gears a time or two. It's a sunny hot day and it's been a sunny hot month. My electric bill tells me so. No real plan but to pick up the house a little. The wife has planned work for the next 30 days which includes Sunday. She'll be working a booth at Fairchild Tropical Gardens on Sundays. They offer free admission and free vendor space on Sundays for the month of August. She just can't let a good thing go. They said the magic word ... FREE.

Nothing much for mew today. Watched the oldest granddaughter swim in a big meet yesterday...and will again today, later. Other than that, I have no plans. Been rainy since we got here, hope we are getting some of this at home, but I don't think we are.

Pete, the traveling sounds interesting, until you do it so much you don't have time to enjoy anything else. Matt I don't envy you at all. Tommy, that the type of running around I could do.

Hope you have a great day guys.

Greetings! Gonna take the Vette to get my new tires mounted this morning, not much else on the agenda. I'm sure the Mrs. will take care of that. Rain may intervene on my behalf, though.

Have a safe trip, Pete! I haven't been to Guadalajara, but it sounds like it is a flourishing city. I agree, business travel generally sucks - always nice if you can at least get out and see a little of the sights.

Drizzle, rained pretty hard early this morning. Need to put down 1/2 yard of mulch later today. My wife is watching some wedding on tv. I'm clueless!
Finally figured out my surging problem with the 87! Shorted out four prong connector that feeds the IAC. Hit a bump idles fine at a stop light, hit another bump idles like crap. Ordered another harness from Rock Auto.
Need to get motivated today! Need to power wash shop floor. My Troy Built PW is on its last legs again.
Well rain has stopped, better get going! wife is still watching some wedding in NY.

Although the car might not get washed, I'm sore from yesterday.

Went for my ride. Car is running great and looks pretty too. Stopped by Blockbuster and picked up 15 movies for $60. Those are for the nothing is on TV nights. Usually 2 or 3 nights a week. Maybe take the 91 out for a ride tomorrow. We'll see.
