Now that we have that out of the way; I have a couple of pick ups and a delivery to do this morning. Later I'll get back to my chore list. Guess my epitaph will read "Always Doing Something". Be careful what you ask for. The more stuff you have the more stuff to maintain. I don't even have that much but I'm always working. Too bad I don't make enough to hire servants. I don't even make enough to hire a savant.

Good Morning Gurus. Day after the storm. Quiet, sunny and cool. Fortunate there was no loss of life. Makes you appreciate the power of nature.
Shops running smooth another order of Oak comes tomorrow. We have a 100 yr. old saw mill about a mile and half away. Their common grade is outstanding, I think they purposely leave a knot or some wane in the random lengths so they can lower the grade standard for us.
We are finishing up the Vocational Building Trades Cabinets for their house.
67 picture frames are completed and 6 lecturnes built. Not bad for the 8th week of school. Six more pages of orders to complete before the end of the school year. Hope my 70 year old equipment can make it as well as their 61 year old teacher.

Good Morning CGs!

Not a whole lot on the agenda today. I have a few little chores around the house. I better make the wife happy today. Apparently it was about 2:30 last night and the baby woke up to eat. My wife gave me a diaper and wipes and asked me to change him. I looked at her and said "why" then rolled back over and went back to sleep. At least that's her version, which is 1) probably right, and 2) the only version that matters to her!

I heard a guy once say that there comes a point when you stop owning stuff and it starts owning you. I think I'm there. Crops are out and we are doing soil sampling and starting to sell seed to the farmers for next year. I call it the circle of life.

Daughter was home from Orange County L.A. this weekend with her boyfriend. He asked to go for a ride in the Vette. While driving he asked for my permission to marry my #1. I explained to him that if they did get married that there would be no hitting, yelling or divorce and my grandkids would be raised to know Jesus. I also told him if any of that didn't go as planned I would kill him dead and tell the Lord he died. He was pale but he agreed, so I said ok but that I would be watching, always watching!

I just wanted to set the ground rules up front. Then I showed him my gun collection. Keep your powder dry Guru's, have a great day!

Is a chore list the same as a honeydo list?

If it's Wednesday, I can here:

Tommey, WHEN are you going to do your deliveries?
Tommey, WHEN are you going to do your pickups?
Tommey, WHEN are you going to do your chores?
Tommey, WHEN are you going to clean that dog house?
.
.
.
Tommey, Why are you walking away WHEN I;m talking?

Howdy! Checking in from the Great White North (northern MN, that is). It is white outside - a couple inches of slush on the ground. Glad I got the Vette put away before we left. The wind was something else last night, still plenty breezy.

Here's something you don't see every day:

Morning guys...been busy again this morning. Ron that's a lot to have accomplished for the time so far. We don't have anywhere near that accomplished, but then again I don't have anywhere near as many students as you. ultraman....I remember when my #1's beau asked for permission, we were moving her from Omaha to KC and he wanted to ride with me. I had him squirming for 3 hours. I laid it out very much like you, I really thought he might bail, but it turns out he's a great guy and has been very good for her.

Got finished last night with the scholars bowl at about 7:30. Three hours of questions and some smart-a$$ answers. Had one question that had them nearly rolling in the isles. The question was about Lake Titicaca in South America, just me saying the name had them snickering and laughing. Got to admit it was a little difficult to keep a straight face saying it.

I got computer parts coming in today to build a desktop for a lady and a new HDD for a laptop to replace, and reload, so I have some work to do tonight. I also have a lady here in town that called and said she had two chairs she wanted me to take apart and reglue. So I have a few small jobs to keep me busy. Next week will go by fast....I hope, testing all day on Monday then Thursday...all day and into the night parent/teachers conferences. Friday we have off because of working into the evening for P/T. We are headed for KC Friday.

....

I do the pick ups/deliveries to make my wifes life easier, thereby making my life easier.
I don't really have to do anything but then I wouldn't be able to handle the mess.
As far as the dog house goes, after 27 years I still don't know how to keep my mouth shut.

Just the facts ........

Damn right! Feel sorry for Erin, news got around quick in her high school about her dad. Her best friend got the snot kicked out of her by her boyfriend, put her in the hospital for two days. The pukes dad was an attorney. Better to let people know exactly the consequences before such actions and before the thought would cross the young mans mind.
Erin was slapped silly in college when she lived off campus by a Saudi young man that thought Erin should wash his new Land Rover Discovery. After all it was his will, and Erin should obey. Her room mate called me because Erin was pretty shook up and physically hurt. She was caught off guard and hit the ground pretty hard. Her Martial Arts skills were of no use at that moment. They called the police on an assault and battery complaint. He got a slap on the wrist. Now you must remember to let things cool off, and time put distance and memory from the situation. Six weeks later he needed a new Discovery and was physically punished for his abuse. He moved way from Erin's house, even went to another college, needed help to move, Erin said something about slings and crutches. Hmm... Must have been the work of Oden.

My wife and I went down the next day, it hurts to see your daughter hurt.

Might as well use those kettle bells for something. My guess is that they could hold something down at the bottom of a lake. They even have convenient tie down points.
