Good Morning CGs!

Chilly here today...28 now with a high around 38. What happened to the 66 we had yesterday! Oh well, it is November, we just got spoiled a bit.

We went and had our family pictures taken a few weeks back. They came out nice and we picked them up Friday. Wife spent time yesterday putting those Xmas cards together and getting them ready to send. I can't believe it's almost Xmas. I haven't even done any shopping yet. Oh well. It'll get done (12/24).

Hope everyone has a great day!

Matthew

Rainy morning so far, mid 70's. Ice machine at the nursery acting up. Don't think I can fix it but I'll have to take a look at it. I'll pick a small project or two today and do it. Pressure washer never made it out yesterday. I'll dwell upon it a little more. Have a nice day in a short work week.

6:30 a.m. - Blizzard

Damn that means I'll have to put in some more time on my spring cleaning. I've managed to do 45 minutes a day, for 2 days. It's getting old.

Howdy! Busy morning here, had to give an early presentation, then some troubleshooting, finally getting a breather. On the bright side, no blizzards in sight. Yet.

Cold and severe clear this AM. 14 degrees I think. I got the Duramax ready last night by putting in some 50/50 blend and then adding some Power Service supplement and a dash of 911 supplement. I have had several times where it's jelled up on me and that is no fun at all. This is the combo I have come up with that is good to -40 below. I think it is anyway, truck started up and ran great. Haven't seen 40 below since Montana, that's when you spit and it freezes before it hits the ground.

Brad should know about that, but not Tommy.

Short week kinda messes up doing a lot. Farmers are getting into the Holiday mood so they don't want to do much. I'm getting in the Holiday mood and don't want to do much so it all works out. Big game for the Huskers Friday a lot riding on it. Have a safe day!

Good Afternoon Gurus. Windy stormy night last night. Tornado warning til 2:00 am. Weather winkies go nuts over this kind of stuff.
Cool and partly sunny high of 37.
Students are quiet today!!! no fights, no bitching, no yelling! Cool.
Today is my daughter's (zoe6) B-day today, Big 29, wow time flies. We are taking her out dinner tonight. My wife got her clothes and some scrubs. I bought her 2 cases of Mobil 1 and wix oil filters , her wood tool cabinet I made her and a Makita 18v lit1/2" hammer drill set. She wants to section her basement off and stud it out. Plus a manicure for later on when shes done with basement. Nice Drill comes with an impact driver. I guess my corded Milwaukee hammer drill wasn't good enough.
For Christmas she wants a mighty mite one person brake bleeder and Hawk brakes, my wife will buy her the girly stuff.

About the coldest I've ever been is in the minus teens. We went out toboggoning. When I got back I couldn't feel my hands, feet or face. I know cold but not that cold.

Good morning gurus....Well, we spent the morning with the granddaughters, it was a nice deal. Now we are going to take them out for lunch.

It's cold out today about 32 right now. Looking forward to next week when the weather is supposed to moderate a little bit.

I hope everyone has a great day.

Don't but it if it's the gray plastic one in a kit.
I have one, it gets all stuck up inside by the brake fluid.

The bleeder attachments leak air giving you the impression that the air's not all out of the caliper.

And pumping the damn things is a pain in the ass.

I just made up an air powered vacuum bleeder for $15, haven't tried it yet.

There's also ones like this.

Sometimes I just buy shit while walking thru Harbor Freight.

This a/c vacuum was on sale for $12.99 so I bought it just for the hell of it.

I fabed up a jar and I have a vacuum brake bleeder for about $15.

I tried it on my old compressor and it holds 15 inches of vacuum @ 75 psi air press.

Well I was driving home on the Dan Ryan x-way when I apparently hit something in the road, or I just didnt see the pothole because The next thing I knew I was exiting in a not so nice neighborhood with a flat. Rather than take my chances in the neighborhood I limped it to firestone where they took me for 175 for a new tire. Oh well, sad part is the tires are only a year old. I guess Im lucky that I was able to get to firestone without ruining the rim.

Ya,you never know what it would have cost you in the hood. Safe and only $175. A bargain.
